1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: How to apply paper labels onto glass bottles on: August 11, 2013 10:43:43 PM
Thanks! What is crazy glue? Im in Australia. Is it a water based thing? 2 part mix? PVA?  Smiley

Oh shoot - didn't notice that.. XD
Well, Krazy Glue (a brand name kind in the States put out by Elmer's) is just a super quick drying permanent type of glue.. if it helps it says: Cyanoacrylate Glue in the details... XD    Maybe another word for it is hobby glue or all purpose high strength glue. It sets within seconds and it's a very strong bond (especially if you accidentally glue your fingers together... XD)

I'm assuming you're wanting to put paper labels onto say little tiny glass bottle charms?

Apart from printing out the labels on say sticker paper - I'd also use straight up crazy glue on the labels. then once they are affixed do a heavy coat of triple thick gloss. Just using the label on the bottle (especially if its a round bottle) will eventually not stick, especially if its a super small label (I found that out the hard way! >__<) Doing the three things I mentioned helps keep the label on there permanently and also keeps it from getting soggy : )
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / online companies that do custom cut acrylic pendants? (out of clear acrylic) on: July 31, 2013 12:00:51 AM
Hello!! : )

I'm having trouble trying to properly search online for companies that can do custom cut acrylic pendants based of my designs. I'm looking to make some of my vector artwork into pendants out of translucent color acrylics. There are tons on sellers on etsy who have these kind of products, but it's hard to get anyone to even remotely mention an online company or even say "hey what you're looking for is actually called _________"

These kind of acrylic pendants are way different than the cute styles done by say Zambi or Tasty Peach Studio (very cute raster artwork which is printed on acrylic then cut out). I want 100% laser cut acrylic pieces.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about??? lol Any info is appreciated.

Alot of people who currently sell such items don't want to give away their 'trade secrets'. Which I understand to some degree. I want to do my own thing with the process.. just all the sites I seem to pull up are for actual store signage or outdoor lettering? Obviously for jewelry it's a smaller scale endeavor.

And I really hope this is the right area to ask such a question, if not my utmost apologies!! : )
