Hi everyone, I have a general question for those of you who are more on the arts end of the crafting business.
I am an illustrator as my main interest (and that is what my returning customers know me for), but I also knit and crochet to sell. I like to try to make my art and my handmade items match in style, and I think that having tangible items at my table brings potential print customers in.
However, I've read a lot of things that say that you should only focus on one item or specialty, so not to distract your customers. Really, the handmade items are a lot less for me income wise, but not everyone wants just art. I don't want to totally go away from selling these items, but I also don't want to confuse people and push them away from my booth.
Personally, I think if your space is not cluttered and has some sort of theme, you're okay to have art integrated with other items.
What is your opinion on this?
