I love this! It's so sweet and lovely! I just made a french knot flower too! Smiley

These are all absolutely fantastic, especially the Cas quotes. He's the best!  Cheesy

I made this for a flower themed link up. I usually do cross stitch but lately I've been delving more into embroidery, and I've been a little French knot obsessed. I love the texture that comes from huge bunches of them.

Wow. So cute! The thumbnail looked cute enough to click on but the full photos are so much cuter, if possible. Good job to her parents for not letting the gender-based thinking get in the way.

My friend wanted to get her a monster shirt but couldn't find anything she thought was cute and there wasn't anything in the girl's sections. She ended up making this super cute dress with monster fabric.
My daughter's first birthday is in a few weeks and I was thinking of doing dinosaurs. Smiley

These look like such good fun. Hope your friend's daughter loves them Smiley

I do like seeing goggly eyes incorporated into projects for children as they just find them so fascinating, don't they?

Yes they do! She opened the present and just held the hoop really close to her face. It was adorable! And my daughter had been obsessed with playing with all the googly eyes I have.

I made these for my friend's daughter's first birthday. She had a monster themed party so I drew up a couple to embroidery. I used hot glue to attach the goggly eyes, I think it added a fun touch to them.

Oh my gosh that's gorgeous! I probably wouldn't have sent it to my partner!  Wink
18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Hugs are Fun Doodle Stitchalong on: April 29, 2014 04:44:51 PM
this concept is really fun.  I'm tempted to break out my fabric sharpies and doodle on some cotton, and stitch it up!

Oh my gosh! I would LOVE to see one that was actually drawn and not just stitched on printed fabric!

Who is up for a Doodle Stitchalong?

In collaboration with Hugs are Fun we are doing this awesome stitchalong! Post your pics and progress here and on May 16th there will be a drawing for your very own Craftster Skully T-shirt!

I bought this pillow from IKEA with the intention of doodle stitching on the printed lines. People seemed really interested in the idea so I started a stitch along. It's super relaxing and low pressure but I've really been enjoying experimenting with stitches and colors. I am a cross stitcher at heart, but have been doing more embroidery lately. This project has been a great way to practice.
