1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Rainbow iPhone Case! on: March 05, 2015 05:36:24 PM
I got it from the Etsy shop FabFabLLC. The one I had for my 5S was from PurlSoho and was definitely a lot sturdier and nicer quality, but this one was pretty nice.

PurlSoho are where I got my 5S one as well Smiley thanks for the info *scurries off to Etsy to buy things*   Grin

If you haven't already, the seller sent me a message with a discount code. HUGSAREFUN will get you $2 off!

I love the design Smiley

Can I ask where you found the iPhone 6 sized case? I've been looking for one with no luck - I also had the 5s and upgraded just after I ahad finished my x-stitch case so would love to have a new one for my larger phone.

I finally finished a cross stitch iPhone case! I had one for my iPhone 5S and then I got an iPhone 6 and had to make a new one.

So I went for a rainbow!

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Cross Stitchng with LEDs! on: September 04, 2014 10:30:44 AM
That is so cool. I have been wanting to try my hand at adding LED lights.

Honestly, for the amount of effort I put in, I think I could have just used Christmas lights. I think if I were to do LED lights in the future I would use one of the programable sets so that it was more functional.

I tried my hand at cross stitching LEDs. I stitched up Saturn for it and used the LEDs as stars. It was a fun experiment but they were a lot more difficult to use than I expected!

So cool! Did you use/make a pattern?

I made the pattern.

So pretty! What neat tiny stitches! Smiley

Also... what is this magical canvas You speak of? Tongue

It's made by DMC. It completely dissolves in water.

I wrote a post about it on my blog awhile back.

I made these for my friend's children. I am currently obsessed with water soluble canvas, I love being able to cross stitch onto any fabric!

Lovely. I'm working on a colour wheel stitch sampler too right now but there is no way I could do so many French knots.
Yours are so neat and densely packed. It must have taken you ages. But the effect is stunning.
(In fact I got bored with mine and cheated and used beads to fill in the rest   Roll Eyes)

Is it the Dropcloth color wheel sampler?
