12  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: My m and p soap has bubbles on the bottom! on: November 20, 2012 07:32:04 PM
It's the soap I'm working on for the B and B challenge Mare Mare! And I'm sleep deprived right now Undecided But I should have that remedied by Friday, and since it's the last thing I have to complete, and the challenge doesn't close until the 26th, I should be all right. I've gussied up my blog, have my facebook badge, so I want to do this thing right! Ok, gots to go to bed now......If I knew how to type snoring sounds I would. Night.

Yeah, I was stirring it a lot. I could lay off of that. And I will follow all of your advice. Thanks Kiss

Yeah, just ignore what I said about the icon. I did rub down the mould with rubbing alcohol. I'm not sure about the slamming  technique though. When do you do that? I would be concerned about burning myself and spilling hot soap everywhere.

This is making me angry! I would use that icon but I am broke so I only paid 10 bucks and don't get to use that icon!! I am using a honey m and p base so no use trying to hide the bubbles. Help please!!
16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Vintage Craft Projects / Re: Vintage Perfume Bottles! on: November 09, 2012 02:12:04 PM
Wow! Super cool! I love cruising the Antique Mall in our City (2 stories! 80 different vendors!) I'm always looking for vintage perfume labels on pinterest that are free to use because I recently fell in love with making 1:12 scale miniatures and am planning to make miniature perfume and toiletry items. Thanks for sharing these fabulous pics. Kiss
17  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Tiny French cake version 2.0 on: November 09, 2012 12:04:50 PM
I love your cakes Rachel! I just got into miniatures in the last year and would like to learn how to make polymer clay food. But I don't think I will ever reach this level of gorgeousness! Kiss

I love these! I came to this board to find info on polymer clay food for miniatures, but had to leave a comment on your wonderful creations!

Well done! Kiss
19  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Anyone selling bath and beauty products on Etsy? on: November 08, 2012 02:24:25 PM
Have just open my itsy bitsy shop. Shipping lotions and scrubs and liquid-y things are a challenge of course. I applied to the Etsy Bath and Body forum but my application has not been approved. I wonder if this is because everyone's busy with Christmas sales or if it's because I only have two items listed  Shocked I thought selling things on Etsy would bring in some income, but it appears you have to be on their for awhile before you make money?
Depending on how far along you are in your crafting, how much time and money you have to devote to it, ect.
20  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Best places to get cocoa and shea butter? (Online & Real Stores) on: November 08, 2012 09:09:03 AM
I live in Canada too. I order from Creations From Eden. They are on facebook and their website is www.creationsfromeden.com. They are based out of Edmonton, where I live, so I am lucky in that I don't pay shipping, I just order online and pick it up at the warehouse.
They have an extensive selection and good prices, since they don't sell products, their main thing is providing supplies to people who make and sell their own stuff. If you don't mind telling me where in Canada you live I can suggest other places. Smiley
