3  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Take part in a local australian swap! on: April 14, 2004 11:33:05 AM
Hi all!
i've been taking part in a few international swaps and whilst its all fun , the costs are adding up!
i was thinking perhaps we could have an australian swap. [interstate and all]

to make things easier [cos everyone likes different things or does different crafts] i thought we could try citing 5 things we can offer each and we can intertrade from there?

does that make sense?
hope to hear from some of you!

Edit: check out the latest posts where ppl have begun to list the stuff they are willing to trade. if you want to take part, choose from the latest list [ie the one where no one has chosen from] and list what you want and the 5 things you can offer.
please PM the person you are choosing the stuff from your address.
4  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / sewing machine servicing recommedations anyone? on: March 16, 2004 04:40:06 PM
hi all!!
I'll like to get my sewing machine and overlocker serviced. Both are about 1 year old [i bought them march last year] so i've never had them serviced before

I had a quote from a store who wanted $150 to service my sewing machine. This seems a little much to me seeing how i used to own a 20 year old singer machine and it cost $160 to service and this current sewing machine of mine is a new model. [still in stock]  Huh

i didnt even ask how much it would cost for the overlocker to be serviced. ^^;

if anyone has any ideas, i'll be grateful for the information.

p.s i AM supposed to service my machines yearly right?
