I love the colours and sock-like-anythings are never that easy. I congratulate you on sticking to it and getting them done even with a crazy schedule!

I was teaching her the toe up technique, which is my favourite because top down I get bored with the cuff and stop. She has a disease called Scleroderma which affects her hands and we use knitting to keep her from losing them.

Are the ends weaved in? No.

Are there still holes to be patched up from the heel turn? Yes.

Are they my size? No.

Have I been wearing them since she gave them to me? Heck yeah!!

They're made with Paton's Classic Wool in Navy which is comfy, warm, and fun to wear right after a shower. Wool is yummy.

He looks quite distinguished in it!

Oh shi-!! Who is that sexah girl? It's my Rasta Queen!! I have your belt done, but I'm too poor to mail it now. T__T Gonna beg my friend to mail it for me...

Beautiful! I love the colour, and the green ribbon is so wonderfully striking! I was working on the same pattern, and I think I like your variation. I would have crossed the straps in the back because I'm crazy and like stuff like that.

Welcome Shallelerilla!  I know of a couple of knitter groups that meet downtown - http://halifaxknitters.blogspot.com/ is a blog about the Tuesday meetings at a cafe, and I've just heard that there is a Thursday group at the Loop Cafe (yarn store and cafe together).  The blog also lists a lot of blogs of local knitters.  Lucy Neatby lives across the bridge in Dartmouth and has her store (Tangled Skeins?), and there's at least one more yarn store in the Hydrostone market.  Last saturday's Knit in Public Day had at least a dozen people show up, even though (at least for me) it was last minute notice!

Thank you sooooo much  it looks like I'll be a happy little knitter while there. Whee! I like moving to new places!

From Ohio, eh?
I don't think I've every met anyone from Ohio. I find it odd when people decide to move to Halifax  because it sometimes feel that we're a place that most people don't know about.

There's lots of good shops for knitters 'round here, but for the most part there is the small town selection. The knitting community seems to be growing, but I am still one of those people that is too afraid to knit with others.

Its a little weird knowing I'm moving there, but I'm going to be getting married soon and that's where he lives so I decided I'd be the one to move.

Don't be scared to knit around others! Other people make it fun.
