I haven't found the yarn yet but I'll keep looking.
I was wondering if using 2 strands of worsted weight yarn would do the trick... Could I use a yarn which calls for a needle size 9us and knit 2 strands together? And also if Acrylic wouldn't be too warm?

Hi everyone!

I want to knit a shrug and the pattern calls for Lionbrand's  Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn. I love the way the shrug looks on the picture but the reviews say it's really warm.

I live in Mexico and the weather is not that cold, so I'm wondering if I could make the shrug with a different kind of yarn (one that is not as warm) and still have it look like the picture.
