1  Re: Beach Bear Cupcakes in Dessert by Mojo on: August 16, 2008 09:07:10 AM
I made some of these for a cookout I'm going to tomorrow!  They were really fun to put together.  I have umbrellas for them too but I'll add those later...

2  Help adhering patch to knit? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Mojo on: November 26, 2007 07:43:08 AM
So, here's the problem: I knit this Harry Potter scarf for my 7yo cousin.  I then bought a Gryffindor patch on ebay and I want to adhere it to the scarf like so:

The patch is too stiff to sew-on to the knit so I need to figure out how to adhere it.  I don't think the patch has an iron-on backing (it has a clear plastic coating on the back which makes it very stiff).  I'm not sure how well ironing-on to knits works anyway.  Any ideas on how to stick this puppy on there?

Here's the back of the patch:

Thanks!

Could it be related to this knitting stitch?

5  Knitted? Woven? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by Mojo on: October 10, 2007 01:34:13 PM
I love this wrap from vivaterra.com.  It might be something I could do myself but first off I can't tell if this is knitted or woven!  Is it possible, do you think, to achieve that tweed-pattern through knitting?  If so, any suggestions how?
 thanks all!

I'm making mine with this Freedom Spirit wool I got on sale recently.  Here's the color:

I've been taking my time with this project though... wool's no fun in the summer!  I'll post pics when it's done!
