1  Re: Ripple along in Crochetalongs by Sassykat on: September 18, 2010 08:15:46 PM
I started this one in some blue tones and purples that I had lying around and I think I hate it.  I was planning on making the stripes wider as it moved to the center and then back to narrow on the other end.  I don't know if I am going to make it.  It is very very wide and I am not crazy about the color right now.

Any thoughts?

2  my new haekelbeutel bag in Crochet: Completed Projects by Sassykat on: April 04, 2010 07:16:24 AM
I just finished this morning.  I love this pattern.  My next one will be in some sort of variegated yarn.  :-)   This one is in RHSS Real Teal.  The color is much more greenish than in this pic.

3  John Deere baby blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by Sassykat on: January 01, 2010 05:34:25 AM
I have held onto this for almost a year.  I finally decided to get the pictures off of my camera so here it is.  LOL.  I made this for my old boss when she was pregnant with her first child.  She and her husband are John Deere nuts and I thought it would be cute for the baby.   Its a bit large but I couldn't figure out how to scale it down and keep the right aspect ratio.  I suppose I could have taken in the top and sides a bit...too late now.    :-D

4  Modified Color Bar in Crochet: Completed Projects by Sassykat on: January 01, 2010 05:29:28 AM
I made this for my best friend who works in TV.  I decided to use a pic of the actual SMPTE test pattern instead of the one in HH.  It took forever to make and sewing in all those ends taught me a valuable lesson about doing it as you go.  :-D

I realize the bottom should be offset a bit but I couldn't figure a way to do it and have it look cohesive.  LOL

5  Re: Star Baby Blanket~Along in Crochetalongs by Sassykat on: April 20, 2008 10:26:12 PM
Well I finally finished my newest one.  Its done in Caron Simply Soft and the variegated is Araucania Quellon 13.  The latter is a beautiful yarn, the pictures don't do it justice I'm afraid.  Its kinda like chenille, so a little painful to work with but the contrast in textures was nice.  Anywho, here it is:

6  Seija for my cousin...pink/brown/white in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by Sassykat on: April 06, 2008 07:04:21 AM
I made this for my cousin's little girl for Christmas.  I was quite proud of myself because I pulled it out in a weekend.  It doesn't sound like much but it usually takes me a while to finish up things.  I get bored easily.  Smiley

I don't know what happened to the corner in the lower left.  Its a little wonky

7  Tunisian scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by Sassykat on: April 06, 2008 07:01:24 AM
I made this a couple of months ago but haven't been able to upload until now.  The color is beautiful in person but photographs weird. I adjusted the color a bit but it doesn't seem to help.  I think its yarn bee mosaic twist in iced pear.  I can't remember the color name right off hand.

This was my first finished tunisian item.  I quite like it. Its nice and warm.... Grin

I finally got a new cord for my camera so I can start uploading things now.   Wheeeee!! Smiley  This actually came about better than I had expected. The first picture is the finished blanket. The second includes another one I was making that sadly ended up in my WIP pile.

I'm working on another right now.  I'm hoping to have it done by next weekend but I work nights and its hard to work on it during the week.   Grin
