1  CANADA / Alberta / Selling food products on: August 04, 2012 08:02:12 PM
Hello! I am really wanting to expand my business and am a little lost and stressed out! I have been making chocolates from my home and just selling to friends/family. I know I can sell my products at Alberta approved farmers markets without any food permits etc but what about little markets or through kijiji or etsy...does anyone know? I plan on calling the local health department on Tuesday, but getting anxious and don't want to wait. I was told by someone selling a home chocolate business that you only need the health license to sell to retail. I have a seperate work area from the rest of the house, but would need to do some renos to be approved but I can't afford that yet till I have more sales. Please help! I'm stuck!
