ugh, wristwarmer drama! i typed up the pattern for the wristwarmers because i didn't want to take the book with me (i'm at the beach), and now i'm looking at it and going... eh? it used to seem so logical.
my question: are you supposed to cast off any stitches? do you knit the WHOLE THING flat, or leave off a section? .... or, more logically, is the hole shaped, or is it more of a slit?
has anyone done this on DPNs? this is the first part thats throwing me.. eegh. HELP!!?

question--- what did you use to stick the buttons to the chair? and are you having any problems with buttons falling off?? i loooove buttons, and i used some as 'decorative accents' on a chest i decoupaged tarot cards too, but the buttons fall off pretty easily.... i was hoping/wondering you'd used a different fixative and it worked, so i could start sticking them back on with that as they come off.

madmiffy - one of my friends did that last year, and it was AWESOME. she got a crazy bright-pink-and-silver leotard-thing from a thrift store, some neon blue leggings, and wore arm and leg warmers, tons of silly jewelry and bright makeup. it was fantastic. what are you planning on wearing? AND - its good to see that there's another buffy fanatic on craftster

owl costume: i had two ideas immediately pop into my head, both aren't super-easy, and they're kind of different owls.. hm. if these make no sense, i apologize, im not really awake yet.
one, sew up a furry costume, make yourself some wings, and add paint your face. this one seems really impractical to me, but that's possibly because the idea of wearing a big furry bodysuit with a belly sounds DREADFUL.
two, the one that i would do, would be make a posterboard body, and wear it like a sandwich board (you know, with straps over the shoulders? protesteres wear them a lot), and wear a mask or paint your face... wings, you could either make something to attach to your arms or just have wings on the back-part of the board..
ha, or you could combine the two! wear a fuzzy bodysuit UNDER the board!

KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: knitting inside out?

i've done what was indicated by the picture on the website amey posted - but i really feel like i'm just knitting at a different ANGLE then knitting the regular-way, and it hasn't made much of a difference at all. i'm hoping that it will still be a cool hat without the inside-out knitting... or, at least, when it felts it won't make too much of a difference.
as for herringbone stitch on circs - i have no idea.
