I found the coolest bail bonds shirt at the thrift shop yesterday, light blue all girl looking...BUT it is a size XL and the printing is on the front left breast and the back it is HUGE!

I want to maintain the writing as that make this shirt so cool and yet remake it to a more fitted style....how can I do this?

any suggestions?

3  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / SS Transfer paper issue???? Or am I an idiot??? LOL on: June 11, 2006 03:16:44 PM
Ok, SO I tried my hand at transfering the Luche Libra on to a black shirt using the transfer paper I bought from Jenny.

It did not work!!!  GAH!!!

I was so worried about moving the paper, but I pressed firmly, used a hard book in the shirt, weighed down the paper and pattern, made sure it was light side down...everything I can think of!!!

HELP!  I really wanted to get this shirt made for a friend...
anyone else ever have this issue?
4  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Pattern ideas...post them here or the SS Wish List on: February 03, 2006 07:08:42 PM
I have noticed quite a few folks posting a new thread for a new pattern idea....

well there is a whole thread about that called Sublime Stitching Wish List (meaning pattern people wish for)

I know, I am kind of butting my nose in where it is Jenny's forum, but before the threads become buried under themselves, lets all regroup the wish list patterns to a single thread....

You don;t have to post them here, post them to the Wish List thread, but this way we can avoid filling the forum with pattern ideas and folks fabulous works will not get pushed down!

I love seeing all the new stitched up stuff!!!
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / card making questions..help please! on: February 03, 2006 10:27:35 AM
Hello all!
I am new to paper crafting, but I really want to make special cards for family this year as gifts for their birthdays.

I want to take pictures I have to them and their kids or special folks and have them mounted to a card that is blank inside.

So, here are the questions...

How would I go about mounting a picture to the front of a card?
I want these to look really good, so I was wondering do I have to cut out card stock to mount around the picture, like a frame? If so, what kind of gue can I use that will not bleed through to the inside?

Is there a better way to do it then I am thinking?

What are the best supplys to use for these endeavors?

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / business cards... on: January 08, 2006 10:38:57 PM
I am looking for the names of folks or businesses who make funky/retro type business cards.

I used to have a link to a site with a woman who made amazing cards, one was cammo, another had guns, some had retro designs, BUT I lost it and now that I have my business domain registered and offical like, I want to order cards!

Anyone have any ideas about places, or the woman's link I cannot remember (I know vague enough for ya!)

I am sure I will be asking tons more as I get more established!
7  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Cotton Hankie Jackpot... on: November 20, 2005 03:48:54 PM
While the husband and I were out at our local walmart for usually home stuff, we happened across a lonely bag on the middle of the aisle floor.

It was a 3 pack of cotton mens hankies.
We scanned it and they were only 2.16
We decided to hunt down where they came from and low and behold for 4.62 we found a 12 pack of plain mens cotton hankies.

Guess what I will be working on for the next few weeks!
And may the holiday prezzies abound!
8  UNITED STATES / New Jersey / Singer for Sale in NJ!!! Only used a few times! on: November 07, 2005 09:01:39 PM
I have a singer that I used a few times.
I have a Singer 2638 that has been used all of two or three times
ever.  It istis there in its original box AND it came with an HC22
thread storage box.

I will see all of them for $100.

The machine alone retails for 179 and the thread box in the mid 30's

All I used were a few of the spools of threads (actaul I thik we
used one or two, and then our cats ate one or two, yeah it got nasty
here that day).

The only additional cost is shipping, insurance and delivery
confirmation.  I will not rip you off to ship it to you and will get
quotes from dif places for you if needed!

And if you are willing to pick it up we can meet somewhere, I would like it to have a happy home more then anything and I am pretty sure the total cost for all of this would be WELL over 200 dollars.  I would include a lot of fabric as well as a basically new machine and, minus a few spools, a case FULL of thread!

This is a great deal and I would rather it go to folks on here who will craft well with it!

It is a workhorse, but it is no heavy duty , machine.

Please let me know as I hate to send her to ebay.
I will also include yards of all kinds of fabrics I have laying
around here, calicos, muslin, flannel plaids and so on, shoot the
fabric alone may be worth as much as I am asking for the machine...

I just need money ASAP to pay a huge looming bill that could get me
in trouble if it is not paid soon!

9  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / I ordered, I ordered!!! on: November 03, 2005 12:18:08 PM

I was not too fond of the rock and roll, but I am sure down the road Iw ill end up buying it too!

I am so excited.  I ordered last night so I hope they will be here Saturday or Monday.

I have so many things to do!!!

Including a sushi pillowcase since my husband lived in Japan for years while in the Marines, but since he has been away for 30 days (coming home a week from today) I want to make him a welcome home gift!!!
