@Patraw
Thank you for your comment... I tryied three times to make an snow globe with water, but every time a few days after making, water comes out..
.
Thats the reason, because i make no more water snow globes  Sad
Perhaps i try it again, if i found a sealing material, that hold the water back..

@Taramor

first: Break all things who look like golden crap:

then: spray the base in white colour
(sorry no pic)

then: print a free cardboard modell from the internet and cut it out:

then build it, take a little christmastree ornament from the last year, a little bit "snow"...

AND 500 Gallons of christmas magic (or better 1000 Gallons, because the clock was very ugly)

Hello from germany....

my tribute to this faboulus challenge is this:

We won this clock by a charity tombola in our primary school 4 years ago. This clock never works, and truly: its very very ugly.

Cheapiest golden plastic and the picture is better than the reality:

since the day this catastrophe came in our house i dont know what to do with this piece of....

and then: this challenge..... lets start.....

Season Greetings from germany....

This year i would make a jar for and with my 5 years old daughter...

With a little bit glue, snow, a solar light (for the night) and ornaments from our last year christmas tree.....

we make this:

The jar stands on the bookshelf in my daughters room and every night the light from the solar lamp shines (not so strong) for her...

5  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 101 ENTRIES / Emergency Flashlight Box - Many Pics! on: August 08, 2014 04:00:35 PM
Hello and greetings from germany and sorry for my bad english...

Im so sad, that i missed the 100st challenge, but now i want to be a part at the 101st challenge. So here my entry: The Emergency Flashlight Box - Upcycling with style :-)

And here the story of the box:
.
First the question: Suddenly theres no electricity in your house and you search a flashlight, wehre do you search? This happens to me and in the dark i search in the cabinet, in the cupboard... before i found my flashlight, the lights go on and i dont need the flashlight anymore.

But what i making next time?Huh Then i read the text of this contest and i have a idea. I go to the garage and take out my messiebox (the box where everything ends, that too good for the garbage) and i found this:

a old Floppydiskbox (for the younger people: floppy disk are the memory stick of the dinosaurs with incredible 1.44 MB storage.....NOT GB: MB!!!)

a used can of spray paint in red with a little bit of paint in it

a used and broken plastic container from toothpicks

2 glow in the dark stars from my daughter

1 small garden solar lamp

1 part to hold garden tools on a wall (i dont know how its named in english

i take the floppy disk box and spray it with the paint emergency red

.
then i take the matal holder and fix it in the middle of the box

.
it was the holder for my flashlight:

.
the broken plastic container, i fixed with tape

.
yes, the fixed plastic container is for the reserve battery:

.
the "glow in the dark star" i glue on the battery pack to find it in the dark
.
Put it togehter and you will see this:

.
But what is, if i need the flashlight, and the "glow in the dark star" shines not so long???
.
I need a spotlight!
.
So i took the solar garden lamp...

part for part

make a hole in the top of my box

and push the LED from the Solar lamp through the hole

and fix it

Here you can see the LED inside of the box

and here from the outside

then put it all together and

VOILA, the emergency Flashlight Box is ready for the wall:

.
The solar lamp loads the battery at day, and at night the LED shines on the flashlight.

If it hanging on a central place in the house you could find it anytime in the dark..

Thank you all for the comments.

@lovesclutter

Where in the world do you get cards that small? It's awesome.

.
I have search pictures of a complette cardgame. then i "shrunk" it in a graphicprogramm. Then i print it out, glue the front and back together, and then cut cut cut cut......
.
But then the "real" challenge: a little drop glue on the edge auf every card and then holding and wait. the next card, a little drop glue on the edge..... etc....
.
I hope you understand my explain, but my english is not the best.
