 I don't know what I was thinking really...knitting my daughter a scarf using stockinette stitch and for some reason I thought two knit stitches along the edges would keep it from curling but it's not. It's about a foot and a half long already...I could start over but don't really want to. I don't remember where but read that you can use blocking to help flatten it? I'm using Debbie Stoller Sheep(ish) that's 30% wool.

Any tips on blocking if it might work?  Never done it before.

In general I use Scrapbook Adhesives tape runner (the little red one). I want to get an ATG but worried about the size and where I would keep it.

I can't use liquid glue or glue sticks because I get the crap everywhere.

I also use glue dots for dimension, Xyron X for ribbon, and this sheet of tiny glue dots for anything too thin and small to get adhesive on any other way

I was with my mom when she was looking for a new sewing machine a few days ago. As she was talking to the lady I wandered around the store and was looking at the embroidery software since my mom might get a machine, I was seeing if there was anything I was interested in (since I actually prefer embroidering by hand). 

Then I saw a CD that does quilting squares.  Just wondering if this could be a solution to having my quilt (that I haven't even started yet) quilted.  Instead of sending it off, or using a shop's longarm machine.   

I don't know ANYthing about machine embroidery or quilting...but my assumption on seeing this CD...will it quilt small blocks of my project?   I'm guessing, you put your quilt w/ batting and backing into the hoop and let the machine embroider these designs onto it...which would "quilt" it?

I love the idea of using the long-arm machine at a local shop.  It would be much easier for me to do that than by hand or on my regular sewing machine. I'll definitely look into that.  Thanks!

I would much rather pay to use the machine than have it done anyway! Then I can say I did all of it myself Smiley
