Okay, so I am in the middle of a super thrifty month. I love going to thrift stores.  The dust, my allergies, the sweet scent of detergent, my allergies.  It all makes for a very entertaining time.  Still in shock about the amount of awesome craft stuff that people graciously give away.

For this necklace, I found all of the beads stuffed away in an overflowing drawer full of all things crafty and good.  Luckily, the beads were in their original packaging, waiting to be put to use.  I spent $2 on the beads and then spray painted the octagon shaped, light wood beads with left over yellow awesomeness.


I also used stash fabric as ribbon. The fabric was one of those in the moment buys where I thought that a rust color would look lovely against my skin in a dress.  Needless to say, I had more than enough fabric to make a clip on bow tie.  The necklace does not have any particular closure in the back.  It is a big enough to slip on and off pretty easily.
