1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Question: printing wrapping paper on: July 27, 2012 03:15:52 PM
I am an amateur illustrator and graphic designer and, for a long time, I have wanted to design and sell gift wrap. Id like to make a product different from what you expect gift wrap to look like. I have sketched designs into Illustrator based on science fiction and campy horror movies. Assuming I have a base of customers, how would I get my paper printed?

I found out a few things:
- Custom rolls can be bought but are cost prohibitive per piece
- Wrapping paper has to come off a press, no large format laser or inkjet.
- You need the paper to be opaque, meaning 100% coverage or very thick (60#) paper

Do you have any experience here or do you know a firm I could contact?    Cheesy Cheesy
