1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / A trip to the Zoo- AKA long overdue swap pics! on: July 12, 2007 02:08:55 PM
I never posted all the pics of the amazing ATCs I got from the PAT swap 1. Since that gallery is probably long closed I thought I'd post them here so they could get the admiration they deserve.
(Racky or Stiffy you can let me know if that's not kosher)
From Katxena: Snake! and From SquirrelGirl: Zebra

From Alteredmommy Rhinoceros  and from RecycleMicol Bobcat

And I did post these in the gallery, but they complete the set
Rackycoo Monkey and OriginalYouth Lion
2  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Bowie Swap- one angel needed on: September 01, 2006 01:39:21 PM
After closing the swap and giving herself positive feedback it turns out the organizer of this swap never actually sent her package  Angry
So we need an angel for the lovely Myloveasdeep- who was paired with the organizer just to be flaked on Sad!!
Original swap thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=99424.0
Info on the kind of things Myloveas deep would like:
"What kind of crafts would you like to recieve? Things to hang on the wall, t-shirts, necklaces, shoes, cds
What would you not want to recieve? anything knick-knacky that can't be hung on the wall--I just don't have any room!
Favorite colors, symbols, patterns, etc? polka dots, red, orange, green, brown
Favorite Bowie "look" (Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Thin White Duke, etc), song, or movie? I like the Thin White Duke, Ziggy Stardust, the songs "Life on Mars", "Kooks", "Oh You Pretty Things"...
What else would you like to tell your partner? (Please be sure to include any restrictions, such as no animal byproducts, religious symbol preferences, allergies, etc.) I'd prefer no leather if possible. Thanks so much!"

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Wist swap August on: August 02, 2006 04:34:44 PM
NOTE- I will have a co-organizer for this swap. Please PM both of us with all questions and info. From August 4-14th RubyTuesday will be in charge of the approvals, so wait for a response from her before you post your list.

Swap name:  Ongoing Wist swap for August
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: Bobolink
Sign-up date range: The end of August 7/31/06
Date to send item by: Must send out item within 2 weeks of picking a partner
Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): Nope... the more the merrier
Non-U.S. participants allowed? Of course!
All ages allowed? Or 18+?  Yes, just make sure its ok with the parents
Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that
every participant meets these conditions: YES
All swappers MUST be pre-approved for this swap!

YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS YOU PM AND Co-organizer RubyTuesday AND one of us ADDs YOU TO THE LIST!

DETAILS:
This is swap is similar to The 2006 Wishlist March Swap PLEASE read all
the details before you join. This is a Wist Swap so in order to participate you
need to create one at Wists.com. This swap is for fellow craftsters to make
stuff you love but can not make yourself.

TO START :
You will look at the Wists of the people who have already
been approved

THEN:
Once you have chosen someone you must send me and RubyTuesday a message
telling me who pick and what you will be making them.  When i receive your
message, you must wait for my response letting you know it is ok to
post your link and a little blurb about you, make sure to include the country
you live in for those who do not want to ship out side of their own. Only
approved swappers can post a Wist link. This swap is no longer secret, although you can keep what you are sending a suprise if you wish. Feel free to contact your partner directly with questions and for their address- re the format of wish swaps.

Last but not Least:
You will then can start crafting the item Items must be sent out within
two weeks of selection

Now here are some other rules you need to follow
- to be able to post your link you have to craft for at least ONE person
- you must have AT LEAST 6 items on your Wist ..you can continue to add during the swap
- You can be picked as many times as you have items on your list
- if you get picked a SECOND TIME (note I changed this to keep the swap moving more and be more fair), you must pick another person to craft for if you would like to get picked again (you will be put on hold until you craft again)  I will let you know when you need to pick someone else if you want to receive more items.
NOTE- I am adding two changes to previous versions of this swap. You have to craft again after being picked twice not three times and I'm not going to keep the partners secret. That aspect seemed kind of pointless and unnecessarily complicated.

ALSO- it was pointed out in the gallery that this is a thread where we make things inspired by other people's designs. If you receive a version of something made by a different craftster, make sure you credit the original craftster too when you post in the gallery. Provide a link to their post or website or etsy shop- of course this goes for very unique things and not say a Panta.

If you have any question feel free to pm me

Remember, to post your link, you must craft for one person

PLEASE PM THE ORGANIZER WITH THE FOLLOWING

Hey all!
We've had a sender- Yay.
Post those treasures you've always wanted here...
Also if your item was directly inspired by an indie designer or craftster, this is a great place to provide a link to their website / posts, to give them the credit -and maybe even the free publicity- they deserve.

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Forest friends 2 on: July 01, 2006 11:20:56 AM
Hey!
There's been tons of interest in a second round- so I'm posting here to say it will be happening!
Because I have a bunch of swap deadlines due July24th and am going away beginning of August, I'll probably have to set it up so it's due mid to late August.
Is this cool for y'all??
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / OTT7 gallery! on: June 16, 2006 11:42:08 AM
Here's the gallery for your gorgeous tiny creations....
8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / One Tiny thing round 7!! Sign ups closed send by 6/21/06 on: May 31, 2006 01:18:23 PM
Swap name: One Tiny Thing Round 6

NOTE- I'm adding a new rule based on past swap experience. If you're not on craftster since before swap partners are assigned till one week after you will be dropped from the swap. UNLESS you communicate beforehand that you'll be out of town.. not able to get on a computer etc...

Craftster member who is organizing this swap: Bobolink
Sign-up date range: 5/31/06- 6/07/06
Date to send item by: 6/21/06

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): Nope

Non-U.S. participants allowed? Yes

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All Ages

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: YES

Details of swap:

The idea is to make one (just one, no more, no less) tiny craft item.  It should be physically small (miniatures are encouraged) and should be something that you can craft with a high level of skill.  Even if it is a fairly simple/easy item for you to make, please embellish or perfect it so that it best represents your skill.  (For example, if you wish to make a coin purse, I encourage you to embroider, add beading, or take other steps to make it a really special piece.)

You will receive only one partner.  You may only send that partner ONE tiny craft - "extras" are not allowed in this swap.  (Partly because it can be embarrassing to receive more than you sent, and partly because this will force you to put all of your creative energy into make one really stellar, tiny craft.)  The idea behind this swap is to give you a simple, low-pressure craft swap that won't stress you out or cost a lot to ship.

How do you know if your idea is "tiny?"  Examples:  A coin purse is tiny; a clutch purse is not.  A pair of earrings is tiny; a necklace, earrings, and bracelet set is not.  A trinket box is tiny; a pencil box is not.  An ATC (artist trading card) is tiny; a full-size drawing is not.  A pair of small barrettes is tiny; one large barrette is tiny; a selection of barrettes is not.  (If you're not sure if your idea qualifies as "tiny," ask me!) All items should be 4"x4" or smaller.

As well as the regular rules I have some additional ones:

1. If this is your first swap please read: (http://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html) to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

2. You must post on this thread. A simple I'm in! or whatever will suffice. This is so I'm certain you get all messages.

3. Please put Tiny Swap in the title of all PM's ( I get lots so and sometimes it gets confusing.)

4. Please make an item that you would like to receive. Do some research on your partner.

5. Everyone should be willing to ship internationally. Its only a few bucks more, these are tiny things.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Note- I've decided to match people up based on the craft skills / technique they'd want their tiny item made of.. that way people can be matched with others who really appreciate what they can make so the questionnaire will be a tiny bit different from before. Example- if you really would love something knitted- you will be matched up that way- that way whatever your partner makes you, you know you'll love it cause you can't knit and love the technique/

SO- I've been so busy swapping I haven't posted in this thread forever!
I was pretty proud of this creation though, so I thought I'd post it. It's a little forest friends diorama, complete with little knitted mushrooms and flowers.
