Oh the atlas one sounds cool!  Can't wait to see if someone makes it.  Anyway, here is my attempt at one.  I used some plastic tubing for the handles, very inexpensive, and I attempted to stitch it to the bag, only because I couldn't find my velcro!    I didn't sew it very straight..lol, other than that it worked out good.  I used a heavy duty needle and had no problems.

I decided to try to make a magazine purse...it was fun, but a little fustrating  my thread kept breaking..lol.  But, considering this is for my little sister for her b-day, it was well worth it.  I wanted to keep it when i was done..lol.  My flash kinda washed it out a little bit, i have white ribbon for the handles, but those aren't gonna be permanant i wanna put bambo handles to go with the pirate theme..lol.  Hope you all like it!

this is an origami purse I made with a matching wallet and checkbook holder, it was so fun and easy to make all I had to do was stiffen the fabric so it would fold, and follow some origami diagrams I found on the web!  This is my first project that I have posted here on craftster so be kind... lol... I hope these links work...
