1  Re: Dotee Swap #13 Send out 11/30/12 in The Swap Gallery by Dr. Craft on: December 31, 2012 12:43:46 PM
Puamelia volunteered to be an angel replacement for one of my earlier partners and sent me a lovely "weather/winter" themed dotee. she used silver/sparkle paint pens for the face (cleverly using a cloud for hair and snowflakes for eyes and nose). Then, she added some silvery sequins and beads below with silver thread. A very clever design and I hope that is clear from the photo (the colors are subtle and I'm not positive the details will show, but believe me, it's great).

I received three sets of pendants from gala_apples, sparks and PJR107. I was really lucky because the pendants are great and they vary greatly on all dimensions -- size, medium, color, etc. Here are the two from gala_apples:

This is a beautiful floral pendant that was one of two sent to me by PJR107. The photo just doesn't do justice to the delicate and detailed nature of the design (my fault for poor photography of three dimensional objects). She also sent me a raku pendant similar to the one sent to gala_apples (below).

.

Here is the picture of sparks' pendants -- one gear based collage and one polymer anemone (sea not flower) -- at least that's what I'm calling it. Have you seen a better variety. I've been so lucky (particularly when you look back on all that I've received -- great quality and variety. Thanks to everyone.

Received a great apple dotee from Angelicus today -- now I've got an apple and a pear. The apple has a lovely clay face, which gives it a lot of dimension.  This has been a great swap for me. Thanks so much.

well the photo loading pixies have prevented my photo again. I've found that if I wait 24 hours, it will work. So, sorry, but I'll try again tomorrow night.

Received these beautiful pendants from ThriftyLiving4U (top) and a pendant from MsZombieElvis (bottom) that makes me laugh every time I think about it. For those of you who haven't seen Princess Bride as often as I have, MsZombie's pendant is composed of the Dread Pirate Robert's (a.k.a. Wesley's) mask and the tiny bottle is filled with the poison used in what may well be Wallace Shawn's funniest scene ever. Hugely better than a R.O.U.S. pendant (another Princess Bride option).

Here they are:

Received a fabulous dotee from Kookaloo Star. The "hair" is gold beads, which look like lovely curls with sparkle. The painted face is very sweet too. Hope it comes across in the picture, because it was such a fun and happy surprise to open the package:

Received two really great glass pendants from Heartofglass (both fused glass). The colors, sizes and designs are very different, but both suit me very well.

Sorry Kimcherry for the delay in posting (I stepped on my computer's monitor and had to get some other tech to post).
Received fabulous inchies, rinchies and a twinchie. Beautiful artwork and real sparkle. Thanks so much.

Now I'm going to pray to the crafster fairies to load my photos. (Note: I've tried five times without success and so, I'm giving up for now and going to try again later).

well, one loaded (the twinchie), but others wouldn't. Yet again, I'll try again later.

I received my fabulous hoop from hanshotfirst -- a great multimedia -- felt and beads of a strawberry plant:

I really love the design and the beads make the hoop sparkle. Thanks so much.

Now I'm praying to the Craftster fairies that the photos loaded so that you'll be able to see how pretty the hoop is.

I received my inchies from Smmarrt and they're really fun. She chose a mix of themes -- the first four are based on my foreign languages theme (she threw me a curve with the Norwegian "jente" for girl, but I figured it out eventually). The others take off on my farm animal and hobby themes:

Thanks so much Smmarrt. I can't wait to add the animals to my mini-book and start another mini-book with the language inchies. I think I'll frame the hobbies (looking for more) because they are so cleverly dimensional.

Just got my fun hoop from death before dishes:

She did a great job on my mathematics theme. Who thought math had to be boring? Thanks very much.
