Cool!  I have no idea whether other folks would be interested.  Glad to know I'm not alone, though!

So cute!  i love these for the corner of a handkerchief or napkin set.  Thank you for sharing!

This is really pretty!  Is it just to hang, or what is your sister planning to do with it?

I wish anyone in my life ever requested crafts; I would jump for joy!  Instead i just give unsolicited gifts and they have to pretend to be excited...

I'm starting my third sweater soon and would love to join in the fun!  I may make this actual pattern sometime in the future, it's beautiful! This also looks like a great pattern for a first sweater; plenty of variation to keep in interesting and seemingly easy-to-fit.  Good choice!

This seems so difficult!  I love the idea and the look, especially in place of a comforter for summer... I'm not sure I could handle it, though.  I know I'd want something monochrome, if not solid.  Maybe this is the project that gets me to step outside of that?

Or maybe not?  Smiley  I so want to try!  Oooh, maybe I could make a baby's playmat or something.

This looks great!  I love the personalized shoe touch... a little city-mouse-meets-country-mouse.  Can't wait to hear how the plants do!
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Zine Swap on: July 18, 2012 04:45:45 PM
Several years ago I was in a zine swap that was one of the most fun experiences I have had in the online crafting community.  Each person made 9 copies of their zine (which could be about anything, of any length) to send to the other participants, and for about two weeks I had a steady stream of unique, fun, and handmade reading material.  Some of the zines I kept for years, either because they were so artistic or because the writing was so special.  Some were all writing, some had poetry, some were very small and some were more involved.  No experience required!

Would anyone be interested in doing this?  I just got involved on Craftster, so I couldn't organize unless we did it a long time from now, but I'm happy to help!

If you're not sure what a zine is, check out the links below.  They are very fun to make, and lots of fun to receive.

Wikipedia's explanation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zine.

Lots of fun pictures of zines here: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=zine&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1600&bih=775&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=wUkHUOyWO8mw2QXYx8H7Dw

I love her blog!  I have been wishing I had someone to mail fun things with!  I would so participate in this. Would there be a certain craft requirement, or could the craft be the packaging/selection of things to mail?
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Night Circus swap? on: July 18, 2012 04:36:28 PM
Very cool idea.  I think there are enough victorian/steampunk people on Craftster that could really get behind a circus theme.  Maybe also include Water for Elephants to the theme?  That keeps to the literary circus theme but also gives non-readers a way to relate.

Maybe participants could give an inspirational quote or image so that their partner can visualize what they imagine?
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Novelty Fat Quarter Swap 2? on: July 18, 2012 04:33:35 PM
This sounds so neat!  I would love to have more variety in what I work with, and I'm getting more and more interested in patchwork ideas that would make great use of these fat quarters.
