1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Superbad Birthday present on: August 16, 2008 09:20:09 PM
Ok, I'm thinking about doing a Superbad in a box present for my boyfriends birthday and I need your help!
So far I'm thinking about using a liquid laundry detergent bottle with a slit cut in the seam or something for the container, for ideas to include I have:
- I ordered the book of "Seths drawings"
- Ghostbusters lunchbox (this wouldnt be practical at all, but would be a great idea to put the book in)
- Beer
- Fake ID (I'd need to think of a name other than McLovin cause he hates that)
- Handcuffs (or something to represent the cops)
- Mini spermicidal lube and condom
- Superbad movie
- Superbad soundtrack
- Tiramisu

.. Help!!
Thanks a bunch.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Ideas for Best Friend turning 22 on: November 17, 2007 11:45:21 AM
My best friend and I are turning 22 and I dunno what to get her. I like doing things like 'in a box' or just themed gift basket type presents. So far I've done Vanilla, and a tattoo themed present. We don't live close to eachother so I don't see her a lot, but she will be here for our Birthdays. She is kind of a girly/alternative type. She's finished her schooling for hair dressing recently, likes shoes and shopping and all that. She's got a few tattoos and some piercings. Her tattoos are a my little pony, a heart, and nautical stars. She also is having a bit of a hard time recently and has moved out of the city and back into her parents for some therapy/home rehab. So she stuck in a small town, in a remote area and probably bored and missing her friends. Maybe something like a 80's in a box? I also kinda wanna do something for positive reinforcement/self esteem boost for the changes for the better she is making in her life, but probably shouldn't include it with her bday present?

Ok, so I can do the basic crafts stuff, sewing with some help from Mom, painting, beads (hemp, friendship bracelets), also totally open to store bought as well.
Thanks all!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Tattoed Birthday Box on: November 23, 2005 10:38:43 AM
Yay! First craft post!
Anyways, it was my friends 20th birthday and I wanted to do something nice for her, so I got a plain wooden box from Michaels and painted it up to with the tattoo theme of her present. I got the images off Flash2xs.com, blew them up and moved them around, printed them out and transferred the outlines onto the box, then handpainted everything. I lined the inside with some leopard print fabric and sticker back felt, which is surprisingly sticky, then I added a mirror for usefulness. This is the first time I've done something like this so I'm really excited lol. Thanks for looking!

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Yet another 'boyfriends birthday' thread. on: September 12, 2005 11:58:51 AM
Ok, sorry if these threads get monotonous but I've searched and read and nothings really sparked my interest so far. The deal is he's turning 22 and he's a mechanic so he's mainly into cars... especially his oldschool Toyota Celica. He also likes tools, his tool box, Snap-on, anything of that nature. He's also into building models and cool model cases. He also really likes motocross/ dirtbikes/ and Fox (or anything with the logo).  He's not really into music or cartoons or anything. We just moved into a new house so maybe something for his room? I don't have a lot of money so I want to be able to save some to take him for dinner. My crafting skills are pretty basic. I can use a sewing machine but I can't really 'sew.' I've tried knitting and crocheting and I'd rather not have to go there :p
Any suggestions are appreciated guys. Thanks so much!
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Help making a stencil on: September 06, 2005 10:43:35 AM
Could someone PLEASE make this into a single layer stencil for me? I've never tried stenciling before and I want to use this on a t-shirt as a gift for my boyfriend. I just want the car, jessica simpson and the title. Thanks so much. I will forever be in debt to whomever helps me out! If it's not a good picture to use lemme know.
