What a wonderful friend they have in you. My aunt and uncle have a tree of life sunrise silhouette of them that was a wedding gift from a painter friend. It made a fantastic impression on me. This is truly a treasure.

I received my swap package from ddiana1979; and finally got my camera working - look!



I was so excited - they are knitted (I only crochet) and the fabric is so nice and stretchy-squishy. They are gonna be a great way to start this 'ghan.

She sent a nice letter, and included the names of the different stitches she used, as well as the website www.halfknits.com to find the patterns. This was helpful to me first because I'm not so familiar with knitting, and I wasn't sure of how to turn them so they were right side up, lol. 

The colors are great and go together so well, and she even put in some extra yarn for seaming or whatever else, which was a super idea.



One thing I didn't expect was an amazon.com gift card for books; a great surprise - so very nice! ::::!!Thank you Diana!!::::

What I loved so much about this swap was that I got to make some things that I wouldn't have done "normally"; I wish I had made extras for myself. 

@MareMare, I think I have that leaflet, leisure arts, maybe? The cover has the afghan draped on a chair. I have to go digging for it.
