So this was my first attempt at a tam that went disastrously wrong, but then turned out kind of cute anyway. The pattern I used said to dc decrease in the next two stitches, so I did two decreases each time, meaning at the end the circumference was about half of what it's supposed to be. I was pretty happy with my gauge though, so now it's just a child's size tam for a lucky little cousin whose birthday is coming up.
Unfortunately said child isn't here to model it so you get to see it on my hand :-p
And of the back See how it's all circular and not wibbly wobbly like my previous rounds have sometimes been?

I also took some close ups of the stitching

single crochet band at the end of the project
