1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Some advice before I start on: September 06, 2012 05:28:41 PM
I'm starting on a new project.  I have only cross stitched on Aida in the past.  This one is on linen.  What do I need to know before I start.  How is this different than Aida besides the smaller count?  Any advice?
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Domestic Bombshell finished on: August 25, 2012 07:29:09 PM
While the hubby was watching football tonight, I finished the xstitch I've been working on.  Here it is!  Can't wait to get it framed and hung in my kitchen.  I really love the way it turned out.  All the black and gray got a little daunting, but I'm so glad I stuck it out and finished it.

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / An introduction and my WIP on: August 13, 2012 06:16:18 AM
Hi guys!  My name is Lori, and I have just gotten back into needlepoint/embroidery/cross stitch this year.  My mother taught me when I was VERY small, and I am rediscovering my passion for the craft.  I stopped doing this craft because for a while the only patterns and projects I could find were bunnies, baby afghans, or teddy bear picnics.  That just is NOT my style.

Here is my latest sort of big WIP.  It's from Phil Davison's Twisted Stitches.  I started it a few months ago, but the black and grey was starting to mess with me.  Now I'm back to it.  All the black is done, and I'm filling in all the grey scale details.
