2  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by basketcase93 on: May 27, 2006 09:06:30 AM
I'm thinking about cutting my hair......It happens to be those (for lack of a better word) "emo" haircuts....The only thing I'm worried about is that they're all really short and I don't think I would look good with hair that short!

Here's a picture of me in case anyone needs it....

That's the side of my head...My hair has some red and some blonde tints in it...Will that be a problem?

4  Re: Newbie post - Fear Monsters (Image Heavy) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by basketcase93 on: December 03, 2005 07:31:40 PM
I think that this is one of the best crafts I have ever seen on Craftster. I was inspired, so I made myself a Fear Monster. I haven't named her yet..I have a fear of being more outcasted than I already am. Meaning, I have some self esteem issues that I am not accepted for who I am. She makes me feel alright. With her round body, one eye, and uneven arms she is still loved and has peace with herself and everyone else.

Here she is...

This is a closer picture of the detail. The heart means that she is accepted and the peace sign means that she is totally confident.

I hot glued all of her together. I don't have any more needles for my sewing machine, so I had to use the second best thing. She isn't as perfect as yours, but I still love her.

5  Dad's old shirt into something better.... in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by basketcase93 on: August 26, 2005 07:19:32 PM
Hey, hey, hey. I haven't been on in a while so I decided to post something. My mom is getting rid of clothes to give away to Goodwill type places. I found one of my dad's old button down shirts. I cut off the sleeves and it still looks guy-ish. I have nothing against guy clothes but I want to do something to make this shirt look cool and not like as if I went to my parent's closet and cut up one of dad's shirt (which I kinda did). Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this shirt look a little girly-er (but not like frilly little ribbons and stuff) but still have a look that is unique?

By the way, this is the shirt:

6  Darth Vader duct tape purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by basketcase93 on: July 26, 2005 01:05:29 PM
I made this purse a while ago, but I haven't been able to post it. I have a new found love of Star Wars and duct tape. So, I thought to myself, why not combine the two. I made my super cool messanger bag made out of duct tape with Darth Vader on it. I bet I'll be the envy of all my peers this school yearMind you this is my first post with pictures.

This is the wicked awesome Darth Vader stencil that I used for my purse.

I made a small pocket. Above it, it says "Luke, I am your father." On the pocket I wrote Darth Vader and I found a cool Imperial Sector stencil.
