1  My first sashiko piece! in Needlework: Completed Projects by RialityStudios on: July 02, 2012 07:17:09 AM
I'd been wanting to try sashiko embroidery for a while, and so I ended up buying a kit from Sake Puppets. The other day, I sucked up my courage and started embroidering my first sashiko coaster project.

It didn't turn out too badly. My stitches aren't quite even in some places, and I really need to work on the intersections of the lines, but for a first attempt, I think it turned out pretty well.

More pictures on my blog, if anyone's interested.
