That sounds sweet...looking forward to seeing pics. My house has come to a halt at the moment.... I seem to suffer from Crafting ADD. I already have a couple of wonderful inspiring projects on the go, but I have a couple more clamoring inside my head that are begging to be started. I'm TRYING to be a grownup about this and finish what I've started first, but it's hard! lol    I should stay away from Pinterest.     Speaking of Pinterest though, I just this morning found some pics of lovely twiggy type furniture, lemme know if you'd like the link

Hi Snugglebugmom from one former lurker newbie to another! Welcome   How difficult are you finding the fantasy villa? I've bought the kit, but it intimidates the heck outta me. Serves me right for looking at the reviews I guess! Do you have a theme going for your wee house? I love hearing what everyone else is doing...you're all so darned inspiring!

It's never too late to read it! It's downright inspiring to anyone interested in minis. In fact, it's probably the series that started me off in my lifelong fascination with miniatures     I made my first shoebox house while I was reading them...I think I must have been about 8. The Littles were another another similarly inspiring series

That is one o the few I haver read! but have heard and seen posts about it. I think it would be a wonderful house! Would be able to use a very aeclectic group of "do-dads"

I too would like to know how complicated it is to wire a house! The very thought intimidates me to be honest.

Also, the theme of my house Ms Marigold, is a Borrower (are you familiar with the children's books?) explorer has taken up residence in a dollhouse temporarily. Leaving me with the ability to indulge in a kind of steampunky/found items sort of look.

Just testing to see if I have this posting pics things right, I haven't done this in eons!  If I've done it correctly, this should be a pic of the Victorian puzzle house after dry fitting and deciding to do away with the dividing wall and the stairs

My little crooked house...I'm still fiddling with the interior and not ready to glue anything down just yet. Not in any hurry since this is my first attempt at doing a house and NOT following the directions!!! lol   

I'd say there should be some sort of husbands support group, but mine has his own deal. He's a total bookaholic so fair's fair!    (and I think this is post #10, granting me the glorious ability to post pics! yay!)  To be somewhat vaguely on topic, have you figured out which way you're gonna go on the exterior?

I hear ya! My kids are all moved out, the grandchildren have arrived and what am I doing?? I have crafting stuff and toys all over the place! And finally the time to indulge in it 

Hah! That's exactly where I'm going with this. This will become a steampunked Victorian inhabited by an explorer Borrower. I think. That's the plan anyway! That way I can incorporate lots of 'found' items as well as actually miniatures. I have it wallpapered inside already, and black vinyl ready to cover the outside. I've been taking pics as I go and I think I'm getting close to enough posts here to be able to add them 

Ohh that would make a great steampunk or safari adventurer home!
You can get a printie to print out a lion skin or zebra skin rug...
and things like that..

OR..lots of gearts and cogs etc...hahahaha you might need 2 little houses as well maybe! 

The obvious solution is... you buy another one for the Shell Cottage   It's like a compulsion now for me whenever I get a 50% off at Michaels, I buy another kit. I even bought the Fantasy one but the thought of it scares me!   It never even occurred to me to COMBINE two....you folks continue to inspire and motivate!

Ooooh....sounds very soft and romantic, looking forward to your pictures! You could do window boxes and trellises filled with roses, or maybe some bleeding heart shrubs?
