2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Cardstock for postcards on: November 30, 2012 09:12:29 PM
I was hoping someone would be able to help me answer a question.

I've been making my own postcards (mostly collages) for about two years now. Getting them to not be flimsy is the hardest part. I use a couple different techniques to make them sturdy but I'll be running out of supplies soon and I was hoping to find out what a good paper weight is. I bought some cardstock on eBay years and years ago and it's really the perfect weight to go through the mail--but I have no idea what weight it is! Sad

I was thinking something like this - http://www.amazon.com/Wausau-Exact-Sheets-Brightness-Inches/dp/B006P1EQXA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354338594&sr=8-1&keywords=110+lb+cardstock
It's 110lb cardstock, or so it says. One reviewer says it's not heavy enough for postcards, which kind of worries me. Is the reviewer just really hard to please, or is the paper not really 110lb?

If anyone makes their own postcards or knows what weight of paper a standard postcard is I would love to be informed or hear suggestions as to weight, brand, etc! Thanks so much Smiley

This is AWESOME!

I was a huge fan of the Wiggles a few years ago.  I just thought they were so funny.  I still do, actually, I just don't watch them anymore.  But both my boyfriend and I love 'Fruit Salad.'  The first time it came on, we had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard.  THIS IS A GREAT CREATION, I love it to death.

I like it Smiley  I think I have a skirt of the design/concept.  I was stunned at how simple it was but also at how good it looked.

Thanks for this tutorial!  The apron turned out really nice.  I've been meaning to make an apron lately, so this should come in handy...
