1  Re: Mini Top Hat Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MsZombieElvis on: June 06, 2013 11:48:38 AM
Recieved Two Amazing hats from Pilar Farmer (and a lovely necklace as a bonus for a late send out)...first off a sparkly burlesque style hat (look at the amazing grommets and the lacing).  and my favorite this creepy eye hat that I am totally going to rock tonight! The backs of both hats have sparkly in the center of the bows (I LOVE SPARKLIES!). The eye hat has this amazing realistic texture, I can't express how much I love them!

I just got this yesterday, (eww brown blood spots) and it's starting to scab...but I love it too much not to share immediately. I'm known for always having some yarn and a hook with me...and this way I will never be without my hook Smiley

I too got my angel package from Onyxnox! and wow, the pendants are amazing....as this was my first swap, she wanted to make sure that I wasn't disappointed cause we had a flake, and I'm wayyyy not.
FIrst off, the packaging is amazing, and I realize i gotta step it up in the future! Smiley

LOL, I forgot to write down exactly what these were, I know the heart is copper, with acid markings, and the other are resin...i was too excited and took them off to wear the second I got them. I love love love the sparrow...so much my style.

Thank you again Onyxnox! I love these so much and yes, I will pay it forward too.

This is what I sent to FaerieCyn...she said she liked Steampunk, and so I sacrificed two music boxes, and some wire and make her a steampunk butterfly (origionally a steampunk fairy, that became a butterfly)

Sorry for the lag....I got these awesome pendents from PR107, the first is a beautiful piece of Raku pottery (which I had never heard of - yay for learning new things!) .

And a WONDERFUL OOGIE BOOGIE pendant!!!! From the nightmare before Christmas, one of my favorite movies! He immediately got hung from my rear view mirror. (and he GLOWS IN THE DARK!)

So disturbed by the thought of a R.O.U.S. pendant (and yet also intrigued...pendant swap 5? Lol) Recieved from Dr. Craft two of the most beautiful pendants ever. Thank u so much, the stone in the pendant is so pretty I just keep staring at it, and the black one will go amazing with my vintage dresses! (Two! I feel the need to make another one and send it off to you....)

8  Vintage Style Microphone Hand Embroidered on a Hankerchief in Needlework: Completed Projects by MsZombieElvis on: July 09, 2012 08:14:05 PM
So, I have cross stitched plenty, but had never embroidered anything. I thought it was pretty much the same....I was wrong - it's SOOOO much harder! This is my first completed embroidered item and I am SOOOO proud of it! I used the pattern from Stitcher's Revolution called Rock - n - Roll. I didn't like the size, so I resized it via a scanner and then traced it onto my handkerchief. I knew I wanted to be more fancy than just doing the outline....so this is what i came up with. It took FOREVER! but when all is said and done, I like how the shading turned out and even though the red metallic thread was a pain, I think it adds a nice touch.

9  Zombie Chicken for Easter in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MsZombieElvis on: July 02, 2012 09:58:55 AM

Using this pattern http://irkachan.blogspot.com/2009/05/que-fue-primero.html (scroll down for English), I created zombie chicken. Although the plan was to create a whole army of them, I only made one and it ended up in a friend's son's Easter Basket. You can see the brains in the head, the bones showing through the wing, and the insides oozing out the side....The son LOVED him!

(the egg) (starting to flip inside out)

10  Personalized Amigurimi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MsZombieElvis on: June 27, 2012 07:22:22 PM
My boyfriends favorite bartender is very memorable, from his crazy red/orange hair to his tattoos, and one day , for no apparent reason, I decided to crochet him a "mini me". I love how he turned out! I used embroidery thread to do his tattoos (not all of them, just enough to personalize it). The basic shape is from "creepy crochet", and i just altered as necessary. Frankly they were both a little weirded out by the present, but they both agree it was AWESOME! My boyfriend is demanding one now....

The Model

(wow should have polished my nails first! sorry)
