so cute--especially the orange one.

I'm trying to get a copy of that issue to make that sweater.

Is it knit top down? I'm trying to avoid lots of seaming!

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Half of my face is paralyzed: I knit an eye patch! Also, Talk Like A Pirate on: September 19, 2008 12:39:37 PM
cute patch!  and at least you can have the fun of being a pirate--today and as long as you feel like it!

as for coming out in public--Amy Goodman--a fearless lefty journalist--host of Democracy Now--had it last year and she decided to keep doing her broadcasts--she wanted to be the face of reality on tv instead of airbrushed perfection--so you're in excellent company!

4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / looking for satin bias tape on: August 15, 2008 10:54:46 AM
more  a general sewing supplies question--apologies if this is inappropriate--but I'm making blankies for the new baby g-daughter.

My daughter wants them with satin binding as her blanky had this--am having trouble finding it, though.

I want 1/2" DOUBLE FOLD satin--there's a wholesale co that sells it, but theres a minimum order.

anyone know a store that carries this--I need around 10yds.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / looking for Shine Yarn--Grass on: May 16, 2008 08:27:20 AM
hi all--I started knitting a baby blanket for my new grandaughter--didn't order enough Shine from Knitpicks--and the pattern I picked eats up yarn like crazy.

I'm looking for 14 more skeins--if anyone has a giant stash--dye lot 3736--but that's probably impossible --let me know and I'll buy or trade--thanks, Zoe

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / has anyone made the curiously clever clogs from stitch diva? on: October 17, 2007 10:42:40 AM
I just saw these in a knitting mag and thought that they were cute-=a little jazzier than the fiber trends clogs--which I've made a few times.
