1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: 2006 wishlist round 2! on: May 17, 2006 07:00:34 AM
I just wanted to publicly thank craftgirl_sampson for the lovely package she sent me (yes it was posted on time ages ago but somehow the international mail has been running super slow!).

My wish was for some yarn and crochet hooks.  Craftgirl_sampson sent me three huge skeins of Red Heart yarn (2 Hunter Green and 1 Black) and three crochet hooks which are very cute and sparkly!  I can't wait to use them and start making some great crochet things.

Thankyou so much!!

Hi
I also think it is available through Angus and Robertson online...I was considering buying it but was unsure if it was suitable for a beginner
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: quillow for a wine tasting picnic on: March 05, 2006 05:12:40 AM
Wow what a great idea!  It would definitely go down well for one of those summer concert things like an Opera in the Park or something.
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Celtic Knot applique coin purse on: February 10, 2006 05:50:18 PM
Here is the coin purse I made for the recent Fill a Coin Purse Round 3 swap (photo is not too good - but here it is anyway.

I basically traced the design onto Vliesofix, ironed it on to the black fabric and cut it out.  Cutting out the holes was a pain!  I then ironed it onto the denim and machined stitched around the edges.

I was really pleased with how the design turned out

Thanks for posting the pictures Muguet!   I am so glad that you finally received the stuff I sent you.

Here are pictures of what I sent to muguet...

Celtic Knot appliqued coin purse

Stitch markers (I am not a knitter so I hope these were okay!)

Flower pin

There was also a lizard keyring (not made by me...handmade in Africa), some Australian Coins, some notecards.  (I forgot to take a photo of it all together)

I just wanted to say a big thankyou to Muguet who knitted me a beautiful coin purse!   The coin purse and goodies that she sent me are great.  I really love the beads and buttons, not to mention the bracelet and the hairpins!!  I will post pic's next week when I have more time or she may beat me to it.

Thanks again!

A little about myself:  I live in Western Australia.  I teach Pre-School children, am happily married with no children and 2 cats.  I love to craft - sew, scrapbook, oil paint, make jewellery (basic).
My favourite colours are purple, black, red, pink, dark green, burgandy.  I like autumn tones but am not keen on yellow or orange on their own, only as accents.  I don't really like bright neon colours much.
I love cats, flowers, fairies, hearts, checks.

Today I received a wonderful package from VW69 - thankyou so much for the beautiful marble magnets that you sent me and the other special surprises as well.

I received a set of 8 Marble magnets - 6 butterflies and 2 flowers - which will take pride of place on my new whiteboard, (they were also packed beautifully in a gorgeous little box)

I also was lucky enough to receive two surprises in the package...a beautiful little journal and a sheet of pretty butterfly stickers.  Here is a photo of the whole lot

Thankyou again VW69 - the package made my day!!  Smiley
