1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Alter Pattern Sleeves? on: April 08, 2016 05:52:54 AM
I'm making the jacket from this Simplicity 5746 pattern, view "E." http://www.amazon.com/Simplicity-Wardrobe-Sleeveless-Cardigan-Camisole/dp/B00KTI2S0S  I'd like to flare the sleeve out and make it a bell sleeve adding about 4" to the wrist circumference.  I'm thinking I need to add (2)  slashes to the sleeve pattern from the elbow to the wrist.  Does that sound right?  If not what would be the best way to do the adjustment?  I'm using a lightweight suiting material if that makes a difference.
Thanks!
~Suzy

Slowly coming along. At some point the chandelier was taken down from the main hall and stored in the attic covered with a sheet to protect it from the dust. I'll need to get a better photo, I beaded it by hand. The floorboards in the attic are rotting through as the roof shingles have long been lost. The wallpaper in the hall is peeling off it's layers. The living room is dark as all the windows have been sealed with cement blocks or painted over to help prevent unwanted intruders. Next to add a front door...or maybe just plywood and graffiti it like the front porch?

I also want to finish my house...basically, start all over with a fresh coat of paint.

Do you have pictures of your house?

Ludi your castle is awesome, it reminds me of the Italian Presepe. Good to have someone who knows what they're doing to help with the lights! I started to play around with LED lights from the dollar store, they have clip on book lights which are fairly easy to take apart and splice the wire as needed, although it sounds like whatever you end up with will be more refined. Smiley

I've been slowly working through trial and error, a lot of errors and starting over (especially with the stairs!) I finally got the tree done, outside portion, a branch is going to be growing in through a window upstairs which needs to be finished.

Ludi look at them apples! The detail is incredible and the veggies look so fresh and yummy!
Though now I'm really intrigued about your "house."  Lots of books, little potion bottles and now produce? What could you be crafting?!

Gosh, thanks y'all! I've been very inspired by all the awesome work everyone's shared here so far.
Leaded Windows! Thank you Roanne, I knew there had to be a technical term instead of just criss cross:)
Ludi, I find the dilapetad look very compatible with my haphazard crafting style as it's almost impossible to make any mistakes!

Another boring in progress detail pic...inspiration pics on the left (top personal, bottom from http://m.imgur.com/a/ImCht) I was excited when my husband brought home oranges, the mesh bag was perfect for adding the criss-cross pattern to the windows!
