1  Fairy Costume in Halloween Costumes by pinkpinkycat on: October 30, 2012 07:19:07 AM

I made this for my Halloween party this past Saturday to celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary. My husband and I met on Halloween so we got married on Halloween. This is McCall's pattern M5732. The vest was a little tricky but all in all an easy pattern to sew.

2  Purple Heart dress in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by pinkpinkycat on: October 22, 2012 08:55:55 AM

I bought this 80's vintage dress for $1.50 for a wedding but it needed to be jazzed up. I stitched Jenny's Pennsylvania Dutch design on the back and created the hearts with twine around the hem, sleeves, neck and front.

3  upcyled yellow vintage dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pinkpinkycat on: September 05, 2012 07:16:17 AM

This dress needed a lot of help. It is a vintage Ms. Chaus dress from the 80's. I dyed it first in a yellow RIT bath, got rid of the collar, took in the shoulder seams about 6 inches on each side (it used to have shoulder pads so there was a lot of material), took the sleeves off, fixed the uneven bodice (someone had tried to do some funky alteration), resewed the buttons (they were all hanging by a thread), hemmed it and made a belt out of the extra material. All in all not bad for a dress I got for a $1!

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

4  Unicorn in Needlework: Completed Projects by pinkpinkycat on: October 06, 2011 08:38:49 AM
I just finished this Unicorn from an Aunt Martha's pattern. I have gnome curtains in my living room and needed something that would kind of fit in to the gnome theme. Thanks for looking!

5  Trans Am Jacket in Needlework: Completed Projects by pinkpinkycat on: September 29, 2011 08:51:42 AM

Back

Front with Dad's initials

I made this Trans Am jacked for my Dad's birthday. He owns a 1979 Trans AM of which he is the original owner. He kept complaining that a Trans Am jacket would be nice to wear when he takes it to the car shows. I hope he likes it. Thanks for looking!

6  Fall yarn wreath in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by pinkpinkycat on: September 29, 2011 08:25:43 AM

I finished this yarn wreath yesterday for my front door. I did not glue the flowers on. It is still 100 degrees here in Austin, TX and it can be windy where I live. I thought the glue might not hold due to the heat and wind. I attached the flowers with embroidery floss.

Thanks for looking and hope you have a sparkling day!
