Love the "message" and I would have never realized it unless I was looking intently thinking "now what does that say?!"

I really wish I could take credit for it, but it's based on this one:

This will be a t-shirt soon. Is it too easy to read what it says?

3  Re: no sew 2 minute camo skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by DoulaDo on: August 18, 2005 09:12:33 AM
I made this last night in about 2 minutes.  All I did was take an old t-shirt i found and chopped it off right under the sleeves.  Then I cut a tiny slit in a layer of the bottom hem and strung a string though it and now I have this!  I was quite pleased with myself  Smiley

I drew on a happy face because I looked really mad  Tongue

The skirt really brings out the yellow in your face Wink

That is a great idea, I love really comfy casual skirts.

8  Re: Vases from Todd Oldham's book: Handmade Modern in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by DoulaDo on: May 16, 2005 12:59:16 PM
There's been some chatter about Todd Oldham's book, handmade modern, on craftster.   The vases where in both the book and last month's readymade, so they're not an original, but they turned out well so I thought I would post them.

Wood-grain Contact Paper Vase

my dh works as the handyman for a trendy furniture place in Miami Beach and got to hang out with Todd Oldham and get our book signed a few weeks ago. I was so jealous! I'm going to make the decopage foot stools one of these days.

I also used a metallic contact paper on this one.  I think it goes well with the mid-century theme . . .

Veneer Spot Vase

Veneer is kind of expensive, so I kept the design sparse.  (The original from the book was covered in veneer "pebbles", but I think different patterns would be just as striking and use fewer materials.

9  Re: The Hipslinger (aka The Fanny Pack)**TUTORIAL added!!** in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by DoulaDo on: May 16, 2005 04:28:00 AM
This post was the inspiration for the one I made. It worked really well for a party in the park, I didn't want to carry a big purse, so it was perfect and I made the tie straps long enough that if I want, it can be a shoulder bag too.
