Here is the ballet top as the pattern was printed in last summer's IK.  I finished it a month or two ago, but I just learned how to compress photos so that I could post them here.

3  Re: umbilical cord baby hat in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by yarnfarmr on: June 28, 2005 07:44:06 AM
Here are some unisex umbilical cord hats I knitted for a mystery baby due in November.  I used Peaches N Creme 100% cotton, which only costs about $1.25 per ball.  I made some with and without the umbilical cord
to change it up a bit, since they are all for the same baby.

Here is one in Clemson Tigers colors with no umbilical cord.

This scarf is inspired by the men's rustic scarf (or whatever it is called... i lent the book to my mom-in-law)  It's the feminine version, i suppose, but knitted horizontally in plain ole garter stitch.  i've wanted to make a vertically-striped scarf for some time but never thought of doing it this way!

I knitted up the womb for a pregnant friend as a little mascot... Modelled here by my lovely new puppy, Merle.
