1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Watermelon Coasters and Christmas Mug Cozy on: October 18, 2012 11:40:20 AM
Well, I had a random burst of energy and creativity the last 2 days, so I came up with 2 new patterns!

Watermelon Coasters
Free pattern is available on my blog!

I am currently making a set of these as a Christmas present for a friend, but I guess you could say I've got watermelon on the brain! I have been craving watermelon sorbet the past few days (not the easiest thing to find) so, of course, while thinking of what to make for Christmas prezzies, these came to mind!

I feel like the seeds may have come out slightly crooked... am I crazy or does anyone else notice it as well? Anyone have a different method of doing watermelon seeds than just embroidered on with black yarn?

Christmas Striped Mug Cozy
Free pattern is available on my blog.

I am participating in a swap on ravelry (Christmas themed), and one of the items we are supposed to give is a mug cozy. I was looking around for patterns that wouldn't need a button, but couldn't find any that had the bottom part and were easy for me to read. So I made one! As a side note... I just noticed these are the same colors as my watermelon coasters. I guess I really do have watermelon on the brain!

Anyways, I also want to make a snowman coaster (to use as stocking stuffers), and stockings (to do the stuffing), as well as about 500 other things I've got running through my brain right now! why oh why did I have to drink so much coffee this morning? If my brain could run, it would probably beat Usain Bolt with the way its going right now...
Thanks for looking!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Sparkly hat and free pattern link! on: July 09, 2012 06:50:29 PM
Hey guys! I made this sparkly hat out of Feza Jewel yarn, and a 3.5mm hook. It took about 2 days and I ran out of the purple along the way (was using scraps of purple, full skeins of other colors). There is a link to the free pattern on my blog as well!

Thanks for looking!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Clothes! on: July 06, 2012 12:53:39 PM
Hey all! I recently made this pink/brown outfit and a little purple baby dress (with coordinating diaper cover on the way!). Let me know what you think!

I still need to sew in the ends and possibly add a little bow in the middle on the white band.

Thanks for looking!

Edit: Finished the purple dress and chose to add a flower instead of a bow!
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Very Special Baby Sweater! on: June 28, 2012 12:57:53 PM
I made this little baby sweater for my little goddaughter, born June 21. For her baby shower I gave the momma and daddy booties, mitts, and a little hat made with this same pink/brown yarn (Red Heart TLC).

I plan on making a matching diaper cover soon too  Smiley
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Very first Granny Square and Pieces of Baby Sweater + LINK TO FREE PATTERN! on: June 19, 2012 08:23:50 PM
Well today I decided to start a granny square blanket with all baby colors (light blue, pink, green, yellow, and white). So here is the first granny square I've ever made! Pattern is from the book 200 Crochet Blocks.

I made it using Deborah Norville Everyday Worsted Weight Yarn. Its super soft and acrylic which I like because I can wash it normally. I used the same yarn to make a baby sweater for a friends baby being born in August, but i stupidly forgot to take a picture of the finished sweater, so here are the pics of the pieces of it.

It was super easy and only took about 7 hours in total but I am a slow crocheter and made a couple of mess-ups along the way that had to be redone.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Adult Sweater Worked as One-Piece on: June 19, 2012 02:28:46 PM
Hey all, I was wondering if anyone knows of any Adult sized sweaters (patterns) worked in one piece similar to this baby sweater pattern? http://cats-rockin-crochet.blogspot.co.nz/2011/05/cats-one-piece-wonder-baby.html

Free patterns are preferred but please let me know of any paid ones as well!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Father's Day Hat in School Team Colors! on: June 19, 2012 02:16:18 PM
I finished my Dad's Father's Day gift (he is out of town till tomorrow so he'll get it then). I made him a warm ear-flap hat with my school's team colors, black and gold. Since I'll be going to Uni in Colorado I thought he'd like a hat to keep him warm when he visits during the cold winter months there Smiley.

8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Baby Minion From Despicable Me with Free Pattern link! on: June 14, 2012 11:17:57 AM
Here is my "Big Baby Minion" with a link to my blog where the free pattern is! My first time making anything this large.

The picture is my bf holding it. He named the little guy Filet (like the steak, filet minion). Hehe!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pikachu Hat! on: June 10, 2012 03:27:41 PM
Hey all! So I wanted to show this hat/pattern that I recently made (my first original pattern). Let me know what you think!

I made it using Caron One Pound yarn in "sunflower" same yarn in black as well, and random scraps for the brown, red and white. Overall it was very easy and quick, I made it over 2 days in about 6-7 hours (I am a slow crocheter though). It was a quick little present for my bf who's been bugging me for Pikachu stuff lately!

More pics can be seen at my blog! http://createcrochet.wordpress.com/2012/06/08/pikachulookalikehat/
