Thank you thank you... I feel more than a little sheepish that I didn't just try that to begin with, but I was just sure that jumping from 13's to 15's would have made it way too big.  Shows you what I know, huh?  =op  I used the 15's and my gauge is perfect.  Thanks again!

I'm about to start knitting my first sweater (!!!), and I just made my gauge swatch.  The pattern says that 10 stitches and 13 rows is 4 inches on size 13 needles.  My swatch is 11 stitches and 14 rows.  So... I don't know what to do now.  The pattern is for a bulky (obviously) car coat, not a fitted sweater, so maybe the fitting won't be as important?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
