BabyCakes8510 - Your squares are lovely! I bet the whole afghan in that yarn is so pretty & refreshing.

This is my square for today... I'll be honest, I took an easy way out, I went with Homespun and only used one color. But I thought it might make for an interesting texture difference from my other squares. And I was feeling pretty lazy.



As a side note, I'm so glad I found this CAL. It is so wonderful to share my work with people who are encouraging and feel the same way about crafting!

This was last night's square, done in Moda Dea "tropical" suede-like ribbon yarn. I wish I had more of this stuff! It's really gorgeous!

I love how there are some hexagons in the mix! They look great!

Here are my squares from Friday and today... I went with bright pink and purple Caron Simply Soft Thick & Quick for Friday and some Red Heart blues on Saturday. I apparently do not own any yarn in muted or less-bright colors. LOL

It's actually brown and pink, I have horrible lighting!! But my last big granny square afghan is black and pink!

I wasn't feeling great today, so I went with some bright colors to liven up my mood. Here's today's Traditional Granny!

I love seeing everyone's progress!! No worries about not being able to stay on "schedule," I've only been able to keep to the schedule because I have no job. Today, I did a ton of crafting and I feel guilty because I didn't do anything to find a job. *sigh* But, I made a pretty square...

I actually didn't start off with the idea of doing a journal thru my granny squares, but now that I've been kinda doing that, I think I'm going to keep going with it. There will definitely be some boring days, like dinner (I think peas and carrots is a grand idea!!), but hopefully I'll have some more fun days.

Today, in honor of all the heat, I went with Red Heart Kids' red/pink/orange/yellow mix and did a Granny in the Middle Square. I'm concerned that my gauge was off between the SC and the DC, so it is curling a bit on the edges. It is also a bit smaller than the regular Granny Squares I have been doing, so I will have to make a few more of these so that my afghan isn't lopsided when sewn together!!

Love all of the work!!  You guys have some beautiful squares and hexagons going!!

I have been crocheting over the weekend, but hadn't gotten to my laptop to post them. I'm trying to coordinate my colors with something from each day, so I can remember the day when I look at the square/afghan later.

The pictures are a little dark, I used my phone instead of my digital camera... I will have to take better pictures with better light later.

Hi everyone!! I was a little ambitious with today's square - a bit too ambitious seeing as I started really late in the day! But I finally finished my Four-Patch Granny Square... I went with "hot" colors for today!

Just finished my first square for the CAL. I went with really bright colors for the first one. My plan is to just make pretty squares without worrying about matching. And since I think all the colors are pretty, I'm sure I'll think they'll match!

I recently started taking yoga classes as a way to get some exercise and (hopefully) tone down my tension headaches. So far, it's been working beautifully! I decided I needed a yoga mat, and of course, once I got that... My yoga mat needed a cozy home. I found the pattern on Ravelry.com -
