21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Box of Sunshine Swap (SU - Jan 17, SO - Feb 17) on: January 20, 2014 05:13:27 PM
I have my crafts picked out and my small finished, my partner and I agreed to spoil a little, so I'm doing two mediums and a small.

I have all of my fillers already as well. We have and amazing local "dollar" store that is the equivalent to a small craft store, so it was great for picking up yellow goodies. I've been making a lot of trips to hobby lobby and micheals lately as well since I happen to work next to both (which is not great on my bank account).

St. Louis is getting an Ikea store soon, which I'm sure will send the entire STL metropolitan into an Ikea frenzy. I've never been, as previously the closest one was too far of a drive. I'm excited about them coming to us, but it will also make me super jealous, as the BF and I are holding out on legitimate decor until we buy our house. =(

Sent in my questionnaire!

I'm thinking of a crochet neck-kerchief, but that was just the first thing that came to my head!

I'll have to brainstorm some more. =)

Started on this swap yesterday and got halfway through a medium. I am beginning to change my mind about the other things I was going to make though. We'll see how it pans out. =)

Is is bad that I just want to keep what I am making? I'm going to have a hard time sending it off. =X

Started an item today for my partner and got pretty far! Then I started over, after realizing I messed up in the beginning. -_-

26  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 100 Gallery on: January 15, 2014 05:30:36 PM
I received some ADORABLE weather pegdolls the other day from jillybeans!
We are currently trying to teach DD about days, counting 11-20, weather, etc... so these are a perfect fit to aid in that!
They are so perfect, thanks jillybeans!

27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: January 2014 Ongoing Pinterest Discussion and Gallery on: January 11, 2014 04:18:24 PM
I am so excited about the phone case I sent annchen. I wanted to keep it for myself, but it would've been impossible to recreate it for her. haha. It's the first time I've ever crocheted something without a pattern and it turned out fabulous! Sorry to tease, but you'll see what I mean soon enough. =D
28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 100 Gallery on: January 10, 2014 04:57:36 PM
I have been trying to put up pics of the inchies Breegy made me but I keep getting "error code 2".  I then tried just copying the picture from my file and pasting it in the gallery but apparently that doesn't work.  Any suggestions?
Is it in the right format? I think craftster mainly uses jpeg, but maybe gif and png.

You can try using tinypic.com to upload it and paste in between the [img] tags.

ABOUT ME:
I am 26 years old, and I live near St. Louis, MO. I have a 2 year old daughter, and a boyfriend of 6 years. I go to school full time for Graphic Design with one semester left. I am very crafty and don't stick to a particular method, so it's hard to pinpoint my expertise. I am an intermediate crocheter, I paint, draw, sculpt, assemble, yada, yada. I am always looking for sewed items, as that's the one crafting method I haven't tried yet. I have no allergies that I know of, and hopefully I don't find out about them from your swaps!
I am not looking for Pinterest surprises or supplies at the moment, I want to focus on my wishlist right now. Smiley

Likes:
I like geometric designs, typography, bold designs, and simplistic designs. (I have an album.)
Im a huge fan of leather (or pleather) and canvas. (together or apart)
I like bold, dark, jewel, and fall tones. My favorite color is mustard yellow.
Alien anything! (the little green guys, not the movies)
Lavender, Hippy, and Coffee scents
Turquoise (the mineral, not particularly the color)
Anything from the following obsessions/fandoms are ALWAYS welcome: Aliens(the little green guys), Red Riding Hood, Star Wars, Firefly, Merlin, The Guild, Supernatural, Harry Potter, or Community.

Dislikes:
Purples, neon colors, blues.
Useless, cluttering stuff.
Fruit scents and minty scents
Anything super girly
Butterflies, Asian influences, dragonflies, most floral, grandma-ish designs, pretty much anything that goes along with that "peace, unity, and love" trend. Although, I DO enjoy tie-dye in dark colors.
(if you're unsure, just ask. Cheesy)

WISHLIST:
SEWING:
■  Stretchy fabric hat in red and brown, or mustard yellow, or heather gray with another heather color.
■  Kindle Cover. I would actually LOVE this as a Merlin.
■  Buntings. There are loads of them on this board.
■  A car organizer maybe with a few extra spots for small toy figurines and crayons. In black/tan/turquoise colors, preferably.
■  A fandom or alien themed mousepad
■  A cutesy "elf on a shelf" that can be used year-round. Like this or this.
■  Mug Rugs. Fandom theme a plus.
■  Two red curtains like this. (or really, any simple style) I can send dimensions.
■  Re-useable paper towels in red/black/white (owls a plus)
■  A bike basket for my DDs new bike! (its hot pink and white) If you want to customize it even more, I can send you an idea of things shes into. =)
■  Pillows like this or this or this
■  Easy art quilt (minimal sewing) with this technique. I LOVE the [triaxel] cube one!

YARNIE THINGS:
■  Knitted elven hat!
■  Knitted fast hats. In fall, neutralish colors. (actually, I absolutely love the color in the photo)
■  Knitted hudson hat for DD
■  Knitted bandana cowl. I ONLY want this in primary red.
■  Crochet alien. It doesn't need to be "baby", but I prefer it to be a green.
■  Crochet acorn pouch
■  Knitted scallop hat. No blues or purples.
■  Childs Hudson Hat

OTHER MEDIUMS:
■  Hoopla art (many ideas here.)
■  Art paper
■  Fandom figurines! (Plush, clay, or any other medium)
■  This sculpted alien.
■  Ai keychain. (Adobe Illustrator) Any medium.
■  House incense holder. Im assuming air dry clay would do the trick, but any medium is fine. =)
■  Shirts (and a couple other things on this board). I'm a Large Junior, Medium Womens, Small Mens. (I prefer shirts that aren't fitted)
■  A serving tray to sit next to my coffee maker. (red and black, owls a plus) (I would love a glass one (*cough* GlassKicker *cough*), but it doesn't have to be)
■  Geometric paper mache pots like this.
■  CMYK hoopla art
■  Geometric earrings (loads here). I gauged my ears as a teenager and the holes are still a TAD stretched, so only studs or light, dangly earrings are okay, nothing overly long, it just gets pulled out or hurts my earholes.

SUPPLIES: (I am okay with used)
NOTE: I'm not really that interested in supplies this round unless it's bolded.
■  Yarn
-I would love some natural fibers, but it's not necessary!
    -super chunky in any colors
-aqua, browns, reds, fleshtones,  greys, yellows, and purple in worsted
    -no supersavers or variegated, please
-only exception to variegated is a yellow, grey, and white mixture
■  Crochet counters and needles
-I need a bigger hook than N for rugs and baskets.
■  T-Shirt yarn in any colors. (My next planned project is a large grey & yellow basket though)
■  Acrylic Paint (any colors)
■  Embroidery thread holders
■  Shrinky dink
■  Permanent markers (preferably double ended)
■  Metal Stamping Kit
■  Stamp making Kit
■  Nesting doll blanks
■  Essential oils in any scent but fruity
■  Black and assorted safety eyes (I have none, so anything is better than nothing)
■  Scrapbook Paper (there are SOME examples here, otherwise just go by this board for inspiration)
■  Paint Pens

EXTRAS:
■  A magnet from your location
■  A printable or two =)
■  Coffee flavored anything.
■  If you're overseas, brown sauce! =)
■  Pom-Poms from your scrap yarn (I KNOW YOU HAVE A BAG!). Three fingers wide, please. =)
