1  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 105 on: June 14, 2014 12:30:50 PM
I claim BriannaB03 (we have the same name!) for crochet bootcuffs.

1/0/0

Hello, my name is Bree. I identify myself as a mother, graphic designer, and crocheter, but I do much more. I currently reside near St. Louis, MO with my darling 3 year old daughter, Emmalynn, and my boyfriend of 5 years, Randy.

I love geometric shapes and designs, thick stripes, simplicity, and typography.
I love aliens, nudity, and Red Riding Hood.
I love black, mustard yellow, and burnt orange separately.
I love cyan, magenta, yellow, and black together.
I love coffee, hippy, and lavender scents.
I am a leather wearing tomboy with an eclectic, artsy side.

I hate floral, girly, or old timey designs.
I hate pinks, purples, and most blues.
I hate fruit and minty scents.

My daughter is a very typical 3 year old who loves pink, hipster fabric prints (houses, birds, etc), and stuffed animals. She loves playing outdoors, with her dolls, and playing games with mom and dad.

House themes:
Living Room: CMYK, Typography, very graphically inclined.
Bedroom: Scandanavian Theme. Greys, ivories, some blacks.
Office: Geometric styles. Yellow, Orange, Green as primary colors.
Kitchen: Red. Just red, I have no theme yet.
Emmas Room: Pink and Grey.

Check out my pinterest here.

■  Art paper
■  This sculpted alien.

2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Geeky Swap Gallery on: February 25, 2014 07:40:17 PM
I received from groperesponsibly today! She sent me some little magnets for my daughter and she sent me TEN alien themed stitch markers!
I am impressed, especially considering when we were matched up, I informed her I'm not a fan of jewelry, and that was her primary crafting skill. I'm ecstatic that she managed to be happy with the items she sent, because I love them!
Thanks for the hard work! (She is still expecting my package, I foolishly sent it to the wrong person and had to intercept it. /= )

I received my little guy last week, and am just getting around to posting him! He's so cute, and was one fo my top wants in this swap! Unfortunately my DD promptly claimed him as hers, but no worries, that won't last long. ^_^

Thanks so much Whistley! I love my prize! (and your pictures were WAY better)

Breegy, love your dd's smiling face in the midst of all the sunshiny goodness. Her smile is enough to put a ray of sunshine in my day. What is the yellow chevron fabric item?

Thanks! She was pretty excited about her cat accessories. haha

It is a little pillow! (which is apparently now DD's baby pillow)

FreakieGeekie sent me a package that I recieved a few weeks ago, and I just realized I never posted pictures! So here they are!

AWESOME bear mugrugs!:

Fake envelopes for my DD. She promptly put "stamps" on one of them:

And an adorable handmade tea box for my daughter's newly acquired fake teabags!:

Thank you so much FreakieGeekie! Everything is used often! I even brought one of the mugrugs in to my new job and have it on my desk for all of my coworkers to "aww" over! Wink

I received from emilywilde today! She spoiled the child and I!

My daughter insisted on wearing EVERYTHING that second:

Those knitted items are a hat, boot cuffs, and a headband for my DD.
Everything is perfect! Thank you emilywilde!

Very pretty!  What is the fiber?  (there are a couple of wool allergies, so I'm keeping track) Smiley

You didnt ask for my cowl, but I thought I'd just let you know, I'm fairly sure my yarn had a small amount of wool in it, but was mostly acrylic.

EDIT:
Yes, it absolutely has 15% alpaca wool in it, I just searched Hobby Lobby's website.
And for a more true-to-the-color image:

I really need to get on finishing up for this swap!

On another note, I originally wasn't going to go to the St. Louis Comic-Con this year, but I just saw that Nathan Fillion will be there and I immediately bought a ticket! I'm so excited to be going!
