I do love Cotton-Ease for its cheapness and versatile colors, though I think it's time to for a new batch of colors (Lion Brand, I'm talking to you).  I used a bunch of needles for this:  the very bottom I believe was knitted with a size 6 (all needles circular as this was knit in the round up to underarms), then I used size 7's, then up to an 8.  At the waist I switched back to 7's, I believe.  Then the top (white part) was all 8's.  The ribbing was made with 7's.

I love those all-in-one kind of sexy secretary dresses that look like a shirt tucked into a high-waisted skirt (only you don't have to worry about the skirt riding up and twisting around backwards).  I wanted to make a sweater dress like that and since I used Lion Brand Cotton-Ease, it is a very summer-friendly sweater dress.

I finished knitting this last winter, but have finally woven in all those ends and put it on the mannequin for pictures.  This is my own original pattern and though I took scatter-brained notes while knitting this, it hopefully won't take too much effort to piece this together into a readable pattern for others.  It is pretty form-fitted and knit to my measurements, so I'll also have to work on sizing.  I am so proud of this knit.  It's only slightly see through, so I'm also trying to figure out what to wear underneath, I think a little slip dress.

I was wondering how these would work for a guy.  I might try them for mine.

This is awesome!  I knit a hat with a similar stitch pattern, I think I might stitch little bees to it.  What a great idea!
