I collect matchbooks, and I was thinking we could do a matchbook swap for everyone out there who does too...there tons of resturants, stores, museums, hotels, ect in Albuquerque that give free matches for the asking, and I'm sure that  other areas of the country/world do too.  So you could just go around to these places and grab some free matches to send to your partner to beef up thier collection, and then you'd have some cool ones from a different place to add to yours.  What do you think?  We could make it like 10 book minimum?  Maybe we could decorate our own blank one to send too?

This is both my first completed project and (obviously) my first sweater.  The upper chest, sleeve cuffs, and bottom are done in garter stitch and the rest is stockingette.

This is a blanket I made for the birth of my son.  It was made in strips, then sewn together.  Then I picked up stitches around the outside for the border

Here's a little hat I just finished for my friend who's having a baby.  I should have made it bigger but I got impatient  and quit before it was long enough.  Oh well, I guess its only infant size.

I just got home from visiting my family in Austin.  While I was there, my mom told me to raid her yarn stash and take whatever I wanted.  I found this:

Its this beautiful Kid Mohair/Wool/Silk/Acrylic blend.  Main color dark green but one of the ply threads is a rainbow that keeps fading into the next color.  I loved it so much I could not wait to knit something with it, so I choose to do the airy scarf from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts.







Here are some 1 hour baby booties that I finished today.  They're for my friends who are expecting a daughter in October.  I knit them with some Icelandic wool that I found in my mom's yarn stash
