Wow, one month down...only 326 knitting day left until Christmas!  What did everyone complete this past month?  I finished-
3 hats (2 to be future xmas presents, one for a swap)

A branching out scarf, late 2005 xmas gift
A red white and blue fluffy garter stitch scarf, future present for my boyfriend's mom.
Plus I've started working on the Yorick scarf (more than half done, and I've just decided what to do with it!) and another hat for a swap.  I guess I didn't get as much done as I had wanted, but this month has been extremely busy.

But now its February, which means hat time.  I love making hats the best.  My hopefuls to complete this February include a Tychus hat from Knitty, which I'll have to keep on the DL cuz I want to give it to my boyfriend.  I also need to finish up a Cabled Newsboy cap (my first cables, yay!)...I've finished the body but I still need to knit the bill.  I also have 2 hats and a panta(hey its head gear, it counts!) that I need to make for swap.  Busy busy busy...

I received my package on saturday.  It was wonderful to have a surprise!  My boyfriend didn't want me to open it because there was no return address.  He was afraid it would have anthrax or a bomb in it...

Yay!  I finished my branching out scarf.  I blocked it last night, and this morning I wrapped it to give my grandmother tonight at dinner.  I forgot to take pics, but maybe I can get my grandmother to model for me!

I also just finished a garter stitch scarf in some yarn I had in my stash.  Here's a picture of it on the needles.  I haven't taken another pic yet.

Sorry its sideways.  I used Red Heart Light and lofty i think its called.  The scarf if very soft and fluffy.

Next up, I finishing a hat for a swap, then I'm going to start the Yorick scarf from knitty.  Anyone made this one?  I'm going to do it in pink and a different yarn.  I checked out the yarn they called for, and I just don't have any money to buy it.   

Woohoo! I received the 2nd birthday gift - from orangeabsinthe, our great organizer/grand poobah!

She sent me a black tank top with the NIN (Nine Inch Nails) logo stencilled on it (and perfectly, I might add) at the bottom corner. I can't wait to wear this.

Yes!  I did take pictures, I could hardly wait to show them off.  Here it is...

So I invited my friend Lizzy over to make some stenciled t-shirts, because I've been dying to try it out.  I tell her about craftster and how we'll find awesome inspiration and tips, and it was down    I was sad.  So we googled some things we thought would be interesting.


This was Lizzy's first one.  She made it for her boyfriend who's a huge Simpson's freak.


This one was my first one.  I yucked up and dropped some paint on the shirt, but luckily its for my boyfriend and he'll love it anyway.


Lizzy made this one for herself.   She was really nervous and kept saying it was too complicated, but I think it turned out great!


I made this one for myself.  The tank is sewed all wrong, the seams are totally crooked (that's Walmart for you, lol), and it fits all weird, so I'll probably never wear it in public (my new pajama top!)

I made one more, but I just can't show it yet, cuz its for a swap and I don't want to ruin someone's surprise!  And I almost don't want to send it cuz I like it the best.  I'll post as soon as she receives.

By the way, we used the freezer paper method.  I'm pretty satisfied with a first time try, but I'm sooo jealous of Lizzy...I think hers turned out waaay cooler than mine!

I've been working on mine, it was supposed to be a Christmas present but its a little late.

Here's a pic of Branching out scarf I've been working on.  I've done about 15 pattern repeats and it is almost 2 feet long.  I still have a little more than half a skein of yarn left.

I am far from organized, but I try to keep the mayham under control....I try to use a different bag for every knitting project.  Any large bag with with a strap to carry over the shoulder.  For notions, any zippered pouch will do (my favorites to use these days are the crafty ones I get from swaps  ).  For my yarn stash, I bought a couple of blanket boxes to store it in.  These are great because they stack nicely, and they keep the bugs out (sometimes we have problems with moths in New Mexico, and I got tired of moth-eaten wool!!!).  For needles, there are lovely cases you can buy or make (or receive in a swap, like I did!).  Its hard to explain, but here's a pic of the one I have
