CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Too small pink, leopard print top --> Shrug/Crop-Top-Thing

So whilst charity shopping yesterday I spied this top, it was just too cool, so I bought it [without trying it on] for only £1.99. But when I got home I realised it was a tad too short, so I transformed it into a crop top thing, I was planning on making it into a shrug, but there wasn't really enough material. Before, the picture on the right is the actual colour of the top On the left is the finished top, on the right is what I originally wanted, but it's just the top with black ribbon tied around the centre front Any comments? Critiscisms? Thoughts?

Gosh, hello to craftster again, I haven't been on here in so long, and haven't done anything remotely crafty for a while, so this is me trying to get back into it, a simple craft, if you will. The bag was bought from a charity shop for £1.99 [woohoo for charity shopping! Cowboy boots for 320, yusssss] and I used normal fabric pens for the design. Basically I just thought the parrots were cute, so I bought the bag, at home I realised it was kinda boring, but then remember I owned many a fabric pen, I also kinda drew inspiration from this http://www.threadless.com/product/476/Exotica threadless top, the parrots on the bag reminded me of the t-shirt, so I decided to try and give them new haircuts. [Sorry about the first two pictures, it seems my flash is abit over enthusiastic] Before After A close up of their heads, I gave the parrot on the left a sort of mowhawk (sp?) and the one on the right has a wee quiff Close up of the written text, it says "..and they lived happily ever after..." So yes, my new bag, comments? criticisms? anything that could have been done better? Oh, and, should I iron the inside of the bag to set the colours? [It was just plain ol'fabric pens I used]
