Hi there,

I've spent the evening reading this entire thread & i've go to say it's been really inspiring and interesting. Lovestoclutter, I  love what you did with the bookcase..and all the pics you posted of the different stages.  Sorry to read about your dad & your ex..thanks for sharing your life & your craftiness. I'm so glad you were able to find your strength to carry on with this project.
I didnt even know what a "poppet" was..lol I'm not entirely sure i still do, but what i've seen they're sooo cute and look like something i definitely could get addicted to.
Thanks for all the inspiration & posts Ladies..I've enjoyed reading this thread and look forward to seeing more posts!

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Wee House Craftalong-Ongoing 2011-2012 on: June 05, 2012 07:39:34 AM
I have always loved Doll Houses. My grandfather made my first one when I was about 5 yrs old. It was built big (my neighbors dog house was smaller..lol) and meant to be played with, which it was.  Myself, my 3 sisters, & 3 brothers all had many hours of fun with the dollhouse my grandfather built. Years later when we moved my grandfather gave the house to the neighbor girls. I'll be 49 this week & I recently spoke to an old neighbor who let me know that that dollhouse is still being played with at a local school. My grandfather would be pleased to know that something he built many years ago is still giving others the joy of creative playing.
This Craft thread has inspired me to dig out some of the old dollhouses I have made over the years & give them new life, who knows, maybe one will give some others years of enjoyment...can't wait to get started! Thanks.
