11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Just what you need, another song list... but it's a good one! on: February 10, 2007 04:14:25 PM
Does anyone know any easy way to go about making one of those little booklets that comes in a cd case? I want to do it on the computer and then add in handwritten notes but I can't figure out anyway to do it.. Undecided It needs to be the right size and blah blah..I was going to see if there was anything for it on Microsoft Publisher but it isn't on this computer and I can't find my disk for it.

I've been at home sick working on my boyfriends V-day CD all day.
But I still only have six or seven songs. Darn

I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles
Your Song by Elton John
Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Pt. 1 by The Flaming Lips
The Reasons by The Weakerthans
Singing in My Sleep by Semisonic
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel
And possibly: Do You Realize by The Flaming Lips

We've been together nearly three months and we're just 14&15 so I'm trying hard to avoid anything too lovey. It's also kinda hard since we have super different music tastes.
13  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Cheesy/Funny Card sayings? on: February 06, 2007 05:01:35 PM
Ok so by the time v-day comes Me and My bf will be going out for little over a month. He knows im weird and love stupid things.. I wouldnt wanna just go BUY him a generic "I love you" card because I dont LOVE him.. I need ideas on what I can put in a card.. like for example, somones idea for her bf was to give him cookies but one was gonna be a donkey and the attatched card is gonna say "Dont be an ass" and inside itll say "Be my valentine!" THATS cute AND funny! I love it!! More ideas like that would be greatly appreciated!! I dunno if it helps or not but he is my 1st bf so he was my first kiss and everything else.. and he is pretty much addicted to kissing! ((Hersheys kisses will be added to his gift))

THANKS!! Cheesy

I'm in nearly the same situation, except three months..and everything is all love-y so I have no idea what to do! Even the things they are selling at school! Gah! A lot of the ideas in this thread I love, but he would HATE since he doesn't like cussing..dang it.. GAH

Well, I think the carpet goes with your theme. I would be happy with the carpet, then paint the walls a purple a few shades darker then the carpet. Then get black sheets and a black or black and purple bed spread- or either of the movie ones if you want to get more theme-y.

I know there are lots of Tim Burton stuff at Hot Topic, and here is a few of the stuff I like.

Calendar     http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=214626

Action Figures     http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=623301

And at Hot Topic do a search for Corpse Bride Bust-Up and there 5 or 6. They could be put on a shelf, and are probably fun to make.

Since Nightmare Before Christmas is a little older, you may have to look around other places like ebay.

Also, if you're aloud to put up posters, I've seen posters for both movies at Spencer's.
