1  Re: SURPRISE Swap GALLERY-- Send by 9/10/12 in The Swap Gallery by Jenn90000 on: September 21, 2012 02:37:35 PM
I received my package from LuckDragon today full of wonderful purple goodness.  Purple is my favourite.  You can NEVER have too much purple LuckDragon so no, you didn't go overboard.

First, an adorable purple needle book with an elephant on it.  I currently am using a scrap of felt for my needles so this will be used right away.

And if that wasn't enough, 2 (that right 2) mug rugs, also in purple.

This first has an embroidered caffeine molecule on it.  It speaks to my Geeky side.  I love all things Geek and caffeine on a mug rug is just fantastic.

And the second has a cute purple cup with 'resistance is futile' which is from Star Trek, one of my favourite Geeky things.

Thank you so much LuckDragon.  I love them all.

Trying the new way...

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Very easy.  It did not seem to take any longer to upload, and even if it is a bit longer, the time saved re-sizing, loading, linking etc. definitely out ways it.

Thanks so much for this.  I always had to wait until my little one was in bed because I knew it would take a while to upload pics.  Now I can do it in a minute or so pretty quickly.

See the flamingos at the local safari?  I think they are funny standing on one leg and all...

I received on Tuesday, and wanted to post, but my computer did not get the memo.

Here is the lovely artwork I received from ybunnygurl.

It is a relief of the reading market in Philadelphia.

Thanks ybunnygurl.

I've been having computer issues, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to post my great art, but I've managed!

My mystery partner (username wasn't on the envelope or card, art said JH) somehow knew I loved green, cats, and homemade paper, and sent me this wonderful two sided art piece:

If my partner has a picture that better shows off the great color and texture, I welcome them to post it!

It was from me.  I actually had no idea you liked these things, but I like them too so that is the direction it went in.  I almost had to send something else because when the paper was left outside to dry, mother nature decided that was the only day in several weeks it was going to rain.  The texture the rain made was interesting so I brought it in and let it dry.  It turned out even better than I originally hoped.

I have a couple pics too, but they are not great either.  It was a really hard piece of art to photograph.

Doctor Who fans be warned, you will be jealous by the following post... Tongue

I came home from work today and found a TARDIS in my mail box, sent to me by Summer6061.

My daughter required my immediate attention (she is only 1 and did not understand how much I wanted to open it).

When she finally gave me a moment while she was eating dinner, I was able to open the package.  There was paper and stickers and more paper and letters and adhesive mats and cards and more paper and fabric and more paper and more stickers and pictures the list goes on and on and on...

This TARDIS was definitely bigger on the inside.  I do not know how all this stuff fit in there.

Here is a close up of some of my favourites

And last but not least, the crafted items.
Summer and I are both big Doctor Who fans, so naturally she crafted something DW.
I want to start making some ATCs and these are my first ones I received.  Can you believe they are her first too?  They are FANTASTIC! (My picture not so much, so if you have a better one Summer, please post it.  They really are great.)

They are the perfect beginning to my ATC collection.

Thank you so much Summer for the wonderful envelope.

I found a wonderful piece of art from geekgirl today in my mail box.   Cheesy

I love it.  It will be framed and hung on my wall in the very near future.  We are renovating right now or it would be up now.

Thank you geekgirl!!!   Grin

I received a fully stuffed envelope from Puper today.  Grin  It was full of lovely items such as letters, stamps, pictures, cards, and a plethora of other items I can papercraft with.

She also made me a new sign for my craft area, which should be completed in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you so much Puper.  I love everything.   Cheesy

Whoo Hoo.  My art came today and it was definitely worth the wait.  Sent to me by NH822 I received a lovely crafty themed piece.  It has many different materials and it is wonderfull.  I am excited my first swap piece is so memorable.

It is a little funny, she put buttons on mine and I put buttons on hers.  I guess great minds think alike.  This will be the first piece to hang in my new craft zone, once it is ready.

Thank you NH822.

9  Handy Hoop - My first Craftster project, and first hoop in a very long time in Needlework: Completed Projects by Jenn90000 on: May 25, 2012 11:58:42 PM
I finished my first hoop in a very long time, so I am sharing it with my new Craftster friends.  My first Craftster project.  Smiley

I got the inspiration from Pinterest (thanks Craftster, I am addicted to that too now  Wink http://pinterest.com/jenn90000/completed-projects-and-the-inspiration/)

I started by tracing all of our hands with Crayola washable markers, each in a different colour so I could keep track.
Then I used a back stitch and followed the tracing.  I added the names and date.  Once finished, I ran it under cold water to get rid of the marker.
To finish the back, I stitched around the fabric to hold it together, padded it with some batting and inserted a cardboard circle.

And a close up...

And the back...

Thanks for checking it out.
