11  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Summer Skirt & Apron on: January 26, 2013 03:01:56 PM
Hiya, so i have not posted on here for a while. But I've made some new thing for my daughter. I don't sew very well & i am just starting out, so please bare with me.

Firstly this Summery feel skirt, Not perfect by far, Its a Little shorter on one side & also i cut wrong amount of fabric, so had to do that little the at the back.


A Apron. Ignore the hair lol. It has a bow at the top, she chose the ribbon for the straps. It has pocket & has gems on the corners by the straps, on the bow & the corners of the pocket.

This is my first attempt at altering a notepad/journal.

I've gone for a Girl Vintage theme.



This is what i started with... The notepads are in the middle (Purple & Blue)

This is my first time painted on t-shirts. I used a mix of fabric pain and fabric pens, also used Freezer paper for the images as well.

Yes yes, i know its a toga... Verrrry easy to do lol - But this is me and easy is NOT easy LOL..
So anyway my daughter was in out Village Carnival with her school and the Theme was Ancient Greek & Olympics, as im from the UK and if you don't know we holding the 2012 Olympics here **YAY** and also the Olympic Torch passed through our village as well on the same day..

As you see the pics go on.. we are getting wetter and wetter and WETTER as it rained all day with the odd sunny spell (very slight) but did not dampen the childrens or village spirits to see the torch and the carnival...

Soooo anyway i will shut up now and show you the pics



And the torch.. yes i know a very bad pic

Well its not complete, I'm making a little outfit for my daughters doll.. this is the skirt.. just starting out.. this is first attempt  i think its knitting but not sure LOL how bad is that,

I used a round knitting loom, so i had some help lol.

My Mother-in-law brought me some new beads, organizers and one of the jewellery layout tray thingies.. so for once. i thought and laid out my creation first lol - I normally go as i please when making. Anywhere here is what i have made and  pics of my new stuff

This is my first attempt at paper mache.. well since i was a little kid Smiley
I used news papers, flour & paper. Red & white Paint, PVA glue, Glue gun, Canvas, fabric & a key.

Hi this outfit was my first ever attempt at clothing and it was made for my daughters Jubilee Day at school. (It was a kinda dress up day or red/white & blue day)

-- The top was made from a pillow case, red ribbon for straps (50p from a charity shop) and different types of ribbon for the bow)

-- The skirt (i know loads a mistake on this) was made from 2 UK flag bandanas and elastic

-- Hair Grip & Broach were made from left over ribbon & material.
The large broach i literally did in 1 minute for me and the small one which is neat i took my time for my daughter.

So this my first attemp at Domino Pendants, i though i would do some Monster High as here in the UK there is not a lot of Monster High stuff and my daughter loves it.

Eden modelling the one she wants


The first one (Jane Austen) was my first attemp, not very succesful. I had no bails so took these washer insead.



Then took left over Euros and make a little pendant with them.
