5  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Tudor Dress (not accurate) But my daughter loves it! PIC HEAVY on: March 17, 2013 08:10:35 AM
So my daughter is having a History Day at school & her year is Tudors. I know this dress is not really accurate but, i am a beginner, i have NEVER made something like this before & my daughter loves it.

It's made from 1 large red curtain (given to me), a large gold silk like table cloth (charity shop) and then some gold trimmings & gems, anyway here you go.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A new top for me 3rd adult clothing i have made(i hate making for myself) on: March 07, 2013 05:51:35 AM
So this is a floral top for myself, i hate making for myself so that's why this is only the 3rd item I've made myself.
I also made a scarf with the scraps.

7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / The Lorax (sort of) & fish lol on: March 07, 2013 02:44:42 AM
Its Book week & at school they have to dress up as a book character. She wanted to be The Lorax but not be big & round! (children eh!), she also wanted her shoulders covered. So i made the dress & she was like 'wow i love it.... WAIT if i don't wear the mustache I'm the fish out of the movie too'

Going to school today i think she was brighter than the lollipop man lol

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My daughters new print top on: March 07, 2013 02:35:19 AM
So my daughter is going after me with animal print lol, i let her pic any material she wanted & chose this purple leopard, so made her this long top (to go with leggins) The 2nd pic is before i did the bottom

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First time in making clothes for myself. on: February 23, 2013 09:32:13 AM
So these 2 things where the first time that i have EVER made anything for myself, im a large girl, so always been put off. I love animal print, so this is why i chose zebra print & chose 2 VERY easy tutorials lol

So firstly the skirt, i followed this tut > http://www.shrimpsaladcircus.com/2012/08/sew-super-simple-skirt-sewing-101.html
(Please ignore the bluryness, as i had a messy room)

The next thing i made was this dress from this tut (instead of cutting down for next i cut a triangle)> http://sweet-verbena.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/boho-maxi-dress-tutorial.html
(Please ignore the bluryness, as i had a messy room)

But i didnt like the length so made it shorter.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Twirly Skirt & Petticoat on: January 27, 2013 11:54:57 AM
I had a go at a circle skirt today, its was OK (but not as easy as EVERY one makes out lol), I made the skirt a 2 layer skirt, i then made a matching tulle petticoat (to plump it up when ever my princess wants to) while she was at her nans for dinner. There is some errors & level is a bit off as well, but i like how they both turned out. The skirt is more a purple colour & sky blue (not blue on blue as the pictures look)
